Producers and co-Presidents of the Prom Committee are excited that the National Tour of the 2019 Drama Desk Award winner for Outstanding Musical THE PROM will play at the Fabulous Fox Theatre from January 25 – February 6.

Foote in the Door Productions will return to the stage this January for the first time since the COVID-19 pandemic with INTO THE WOODS, the popular Stephen Sondheim penned show celebrating 35 years since its successful Broadway opening. Theaterproducent De Graaf & Cornelissen Entertainment is trots om bekend te maken dat Pia Douwes vanaf september 2022 de hoofdrol in de nieuwe musical The Prom zal vertolken. Het is dan drie jaar geleden dat Pia in een Nederlandse theaterproductie te zien was. Pia Douwes zal in de voorstelling de rol van Dee Dee Allen spelen, een rol die Meryl Streep in de verfilming van de musical vertolkte. 'Ik ben enorm blij met het vertrouwen van artistiek producent Hans Cornelissen,' laat Pia Douwes weten. 'De rol van Dee Dee Allen, een ervaren maar ook een narcistische en uitgerangeerde musicalactrice, is geweldig om te spelen. Ik heb uiteraard de film gezien en ik verheug me om volgend jaar te gaan repeteren met een ongetwijfeld geweldige cast.'
