The spellbinding Harry Potter and the Cursed Child has reached the 1,000 performance milestone in Melbourne.

Five time Tony Award winner and West End hit A CHRISTMAS CAROL starring David Wenham is raising money for food relief charity Foodbank during its Australian premiere season at the Comedy Theatre in Melbourne, which runs until 29 December.

The Canadian Premiere production of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child has released additional tickets from $69 for sale just in time for the gift-giving season.  Ten more weeks of performances will be added, March 21 – June 4, 2023.  The new block of tickets goes on sale on Saturday December 10, 2022 at 9:45 AM ET in celebration of Platform 9 ¾ at King's Cross train station in London.  

There are surely few less festive places to be than The Old Vic Theatre while Jack Thorne's A Christmas Carol is being staged. From mince pies and satsumas for the audience, Victorian bell ringing, snow falling and turkeys flying from the rafters, is it joyfully reassuring and supremely comforting.

The National Theatre has announced three new productions for 2023 and the revival of the critically acclaimed The Father and the Assassin. A new production devised by The PappyShow will tour directly to 55 schools across England, and National Theatre Live brings The Crucible, Othello and GOOD to cinema goers around the world.

The National Theatre has found its cast for The Motive and the Cue, opening in 2023. The cast will be led by Johnny Flynn, Tuppence Middleton, and Mark Gatiss, who will play Richard Burton, Elizabeth Taylor and John Gielgud, respectively.

From Giles Terera as Othello at the National Theatre, to Daniel Craig as James Bond at the Royal Albert Hall, November has some real theatrical treats in store. There's also the first of the festive offerings, with a new opera at the London Coliseum based on a classic Christmas film and a much-loved revival of a Dickens' classic at The Old Vic.

As it prepares for an expected UK premiere, two 75-minute first-look workshop performances of Benny & Joon will take place at 5pm on Monday 14 November and 3pm on Tuesday 15 November. Tickets go on sale today at The Other Palace with £10 seats available to the public.

The Old Vic theatre has released a first look at Owen Teale as Ebenezer Scrooge in their production of A Christmas Carol.

All new photos have been released from Jack Thorne’s The Solid Life of Sugar Water, directed by this year’s JMK Award Winner Indiana Lown-Collins that opens tomorrow, 19 October at the Orange Tree Theatre.

Harry Potter and the Cursed Child at the CAA Ed Mirvish theatre will surpass 250,000 theatre goers. To celebrate this milestone, Toronto audiences will be treated to surprise-and-delight giveaways at all eight performances throughout the week of October 24th, which is when they anticipate the production will welcome its quarter-million patron.  

ENOLA HOLMES 2 is directed by Harry Bradbeer, with a screenplay by Jack Thorne and story by Harry Bradbeer & Jack Thorne.  Along with new friends and foes, it stars Millie Bobby Brown, Henry Cavill, David Thewlis, Louis Partridge, Susan Wokoma, Adeel Akhtar, Sharon Duncan-Brewster, and Helena Bonham Carter. Harry Potter and the Cursed Child has released family portraits of the Potters, the Granger-Weasleys and the Malfoys in advance of the new Company’s first performance on 13 October 2022.  

The Finborough Theatre has appointed Milla Jackson as its first-ever Development Director.

Sarah Afful who plays 'Hermione Granger' in Harry Potter and the Cursed Child in Toronto will be on maternity leave beginning September 30, 2022 as she prepares to welcome her second child. Temporarily replacing Sarah during her leave is Antoinette Robinson from the Broadway company who will make her Canadian stage debut.

Additional casting has been announced for the new Broadway company of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child who begin performances at New York's Lyric Theatre on Tuesday, November 15, 2022. Beginning October 3rd, tickets will be on sale through September 3, 2023. The cast includes 16 actors making their Broadway debut.

This year, The Old Vic will raise money in aid of City Harvest during the run of Matthew Warchus’ smash hit production of A Christmas Carol, adapted for the stage by Jack Thorne (Harry Potter and the Cursed Child).
