First developed and workshopped at South Coast Repertory’s annual Pacific Playwrights Festival in 2025, celebrated new “it” playwright Talene Monahon’s freshly birthed play EAT ME is currently being presented at OC’s Tony Award-winning regional theater as a fully-formed World Premiere production directed by Caitlin Sullivan. The new work continues performances at its Costa Mesa home through May 3. Equally intriguing and confounding, the brand new play, honestly, comes off for me as one of those creatively-ambitious but somewhat incomplete stage experiments that left me with more questions than answers.

New casting has been announced for the West End production of CABARET at the KIT KAT CLUB. West End star and Olivier Award nominee Jamie Muscato will play Emcee and Tony and Grammy Award nominated Broadway star Joy Woods will play Sally Bowles.

American Repertory Theater (A. R.T.) has revealed the cast for the new musical Black Swan. A.R.T.’s world-premiere production. The company features Melanie Moore as Nina, the role which earned Natalie Portman an Oscar in the film.

American Repertory Theater has revealed the design team for the new musical Black Swan. A.R.T.’s world-premiere production begins performances at the Loeb Drama Center in May.

Dog Day Afternoon is about to open on Broadway at the August Wilson Theatre. One of the people who has created that world is four-time Tony-nominated scenic designer David Korins, who with this play, celebrates his 27th Broadway show. DOG DAY AFTERNOON, a new play by Pulitzer Prize winner Stephen Adly Guirgis (Between Riverside and Crazy, The Motherf***er with the Hat), has found its cast! The play is directed by two-time Olivier Award winner Rupert Goold (King Charles III) and inspired by the actual events that captivated audiences in the Oscar®-winning motion picture.
