The Jeff Awards Committee today announced 118 nominations in 24 categories for the 42nd Annual Non-Equity Jeff Awards for productions that opened between April 1, 2014, and March 31, 2015. The Non-Equity Awards honor excellence in Chicago theatres not under a union contract. Jeff judges attended opening nights of 133 productions offered by 56 Non-Equity producing organizations. The Jeff Committee recommended 62 of those shows, making them eligible for Non-Equity Jeff Award nominations. Of the 62 Jeff Recommended productions, 46 received nominations, representing 23 theatre companies.

The Hypocrites are pleased to continue their 2014-15 season with Samuel Beckett's comic masterpiece ENDGAME, directed by Company Member Halena Kays*, playing February 20 - April 4, 2015 at their new home, The Den Theatre Mainstage, 1329-1333 N. The St. James Studio is delighted to host four talented and creative female jazz stylists over four Saturdays in May and June 2014, presented by JBGB Events. Between them they will treat audiences to a wealth of musical styles such as jazz and tango with a Parisian twist; smooth and sophisticated jazz, folk and blues; Brazilian bossa nova and swinging, finger clicking jazz.

The National Theatre's internationally acclaimed stage production of War Horse received its world premiere at the National Theatre in October 2007, and has now been seen by over 4 million people worldwide. Now celebrating its sixth year on the London stage and recently extending booking until October 2014, Nick Stafford's adaptation of Michael Morpurgo's book continues to play to sell-out houses at the New London Theatre in the West End. Having won multiple awards internationally, War Horse is directed by Marianne Elliott and Tom Morris and designed by Rae Smith, with puppet direction, design and fabrication by Basil Jones and Adrian Kohler for Handspring Puppet Company, lighting by Paule Constable, and movement and horse choreography by Toby Sedgwick, with video design by Leo Warner and Mark Grimmer, songmaker John Tams, music by Adrian Sutton and sound by Christopher Shutt.
