Southern Methodist University Theatre, Dance, and Music alumni are reuniting in Dallas this winter to produce a full-length, text-driven, minimally produced production of Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet featuring alumni returning from New York City, Chicago, Baltimore, and Nebraska. Co-directed by Emily Ernst (recent graduate of Ecole Internationale de Theatre Jacques Lecoq and Associate Director of Flatwater Shakespeare Company), Joshua L. Peugh (Founder and Artistic Director of Dark Circles Contemporary Dance), and Baltimore-based actor Chris Rutherford, the play will be presented by Fair Assemblya?"the trio's newly formed ensemble led theatre companya?"in the intimate Sanctuary space at Arts Mission Oak Cliff.

2017 Regional Theatre Tony Award Recipient Dallas Theater Center presents the annual hit production of the holiday classic A Christmas Carol at the Dee and Charles Wyly Theatre. Former Diane and Hal Brierley Resident Acting Company member Brandon Potter will play Ebenezer Scrooge in the classic tale that follows a magical journey of hope and redemption. A Christmas Carol begins on Nov. 22 with a Pay-What-You-Can performance on Nov. 24 and runs through Dec. 29. After an incredibly successful workshop run at Theatre Three's Theater Too in Dallas, playwright Jessica Cavanagh's SELF-INJURIOUS BEHAVIOR is headed for a New York showcase run at Urban Stages. Produced by the Dallas-based team of Cavanagh, actor/director Marianne Galloway, and producer Bren Rapp, the play will run in April during Autism Awareness Month and will feature the original workshop cast under Galloway's direction. Along with the cast of seven, which includes Dallas acting powerhouses Ian Ferguson, Danielle Pickard, Jennifer Kuenzer and Cavanagh, starring as a fictionalized version of herself, the orignal Dallas production and design team including set designer Jeff Schimdt (Artistic Director of Theatre Three) will be involved in transitioning the show from its local workshop phase to its New York showcase.
