Harlem Stage today announced the line-up for its 2021 virtual gala, “Art and Activism,” to be held on Friday, May 21 at 8 PM (ET), co-hosted by poet and playwright, Carl Hancock Rux and Harlem Stage artistic director and CEO, Patricia Cruz, and directed by filmmaker, Sekou Luke.

The 24 Hour Plays has announced a special edition round of The 24 Hour Plays: Viral Monologues, featuring brand-new monologues written, rehearsed and recorded in 24 hours by Developing Artist teens and stars of stage and screen.   Beginning at 6:00 PM on Sunday, March 28th, one monologue will be released every 15 minutes on Instagram, Facebook and Youtube.

The 24 Hour Plays: Viral Monologues will mark their one-year anniversary with a series of unforgettable monologues. Twenty-four actors have been paired with twenty-four writers, who have crafted unique pieces especially for their actors. From 6 PM until 10 PM, new monologues will be published every 15 minutes.
