As 2019 comes to a close, we're taking a look back on some of the most memorable performances of the year.

This morning, the Hollywood Foreign Press Association (HFPA) announced the nominees for the 77th Annual Golden Globe Awards from The Beverly Hilton in Beverly Hills, California.  The three-hour telecast hosted by Ricky Gervais will air live on NBC coast to coast Sunday, January 5, 2020 at 8:00 p.m. EST/5:00 p.m. PST.

The Wallis Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts presents Broadway and TV stars MEGAN HILTY (Wicked, 'Smash') and CHEYENNE JACKSON (Xanadu, 'American Horror Story') as they join forces for a thrilling and personal evening highlighted by powerhouse Broadway showstoppers, American songbook classics and rare musical gems on Saturday, January 25, 2020, 7:30 pm, in The Wallis' Bram Goldsmith Theater. Although the performance is sold out, wait list requests are being accepted.

Ovation TV, America's only arts network, has announced the host and guest for the season finale of Inside the Actors Studio. After featuring a robust season of talented actors such as Henry Winkler, Alec Baldwin, David Oyelowo, Jane Lynch, Willem Dafoe, Pedro Pascal, Al Pacino, Ellen Burstyn, Alfre Woodard, LaTanya Richardson Jackson, Laura Dern, and Kelsey Grammer, and directors Greta Gerwig and James Burrows, Ovation finishes an impressive season with two formidable women on the Actors Studio stage. Emmy(R) Award-winning actor Uzo Aduba (Orange is the New Black, Mrs. America) will interview Academy Award(R)-winning actor Lupita Nyong'o (12 Years a Slave, Us) on Sunday, December 15th at 10pm ET / 7pm PT.

Henry Winkler, Emmy-winning actor, director, producer, and New York Times best-selling author, will be the opening keynote speaker for the American Gem Society's (AGS) Annual Conclave, which will be held in Denver, Colorado, April 27-29, 2020 at the Sheraton Denver Downtown Hotel.

Nickelodeon's hit preschool series Bubble Guppies will make a splash with the debut of an all-new season and a brand-new guppy on Friday, Sept. 27, at 12 p.m. (ET/PT). Season five of Bubble Guppies (26 half-hour episodes) will introduce Zooli, a spunky and smart student, animal expert and fin-tastic friend to the guppies' school class. Together, the guppies will dance, sing, play and learn valuable lessons as they embark on all-new underwater adventures.

Hollywood). As previously announced, the new season of Inside the Actors Studio will premiere on Ovation on Sunday, October 13 at 10pm ET / 7pm PT.

Popular television actor Donny Most, best known for his role as jokester Ralph Malph on the classic sitcom Happy Days, will play Serge in Drayton Entertainment's upcoming production of the hit play 'ART'. The production will run at the St. Jacobs Country Playhouse from October 2 to October 20.

Ovation TV, America's only arts network, has announced the lineup of legacy episodes from Inside the Actors Studio leading to the new season premiere on October 13. Showcasing a wide range of talented actors and hosted by the incomparable James Lipton, these legacy episodes demonstrate the incredible talent participation and entertaining storytelling of the long-running series. Throughout August and September, the network will air one legacy episode every Sunday at 12pm ET, starting on August 11.

Remember the days when you were tempted to tune in, turn on, and drop out?  Many baby boomers shared the dream of escaping the cruel world, but writer/actress Carol Schlanger actually did. She will discuss her new book Hippie Woman Wild: Life and Love on an Oregon Commune at Jewish Women's Theatre's Sunday Morning at the Braid on August 11.
