Lin-Manuel Miranda, Cynthia Erivo & More Among Audie Awards Finalists

The Audio Publishers Association (APA) have announced finalists for the 2022 Audie Awards. Finalists include Cynthia Erivo for Best Female Narrator and Lin-Manuel Miranda for Best Male Narrator. Leslie Odom Jr., Annie Golden, Telly Leung, and Jason Tam are also featured on audiobooks that made the list. Check out the full list of nominations now!

Music Theater Works Announces Cast & Creative Team For LA CAGE AUX FOLLES

Music Theater Works is proud to announce the cast for its spring production of the Tony-Award winning La Cage Aux Folles, music and lyrics by Jerry Herman, book by Harvey Fierstein, directed by Producing Artistic Director Kyle Dougan and music directed by Kyra Leigh with choreography by Christopher Chase Carter. 

The Old Globe Announces $2 Million Gift From San Diego Philanthropists Paula & Brian Powers

The Old Globe announced today it has received a $2 million gift from Paula and Brian Powers to create the Powers New Works Fund. The gift was made to support new play development at The Old Globe and is in addition to the couple’s previous contributions supporting the organization’s general operating fund and annual Powers New Voices Festival.

Apple Announces FOUNDATION Season Two Cast Additions

Based on Isaac Asimov’s stories, and featuring an international cast led by Harris and Pace, alongside rising stars Lou Llobell and Leah Harvey, the monumental adaptation of “Foundation” chronicles the stories of four crucial individuals transcending space and time as they overcome deadly crises. The cast also includes Laura Born and Terrance Mann.

Conejo Players Theatre is Now Presenting HARVEY

Elwood P. Dowd is an affable man who claims to have an unseen (and presumably imaginary) friend Harvey — whom Elwood describes as a six-and-a-half-foot-tall rabbit pooka resembling an anthropomorphic rabbit. Elwood introduces Harvey to everyone he meets. His social-climbing sister, Veta, increasingly finds his eccentric behavior embarrassing.

CHICKENSHED THEATRE to Present EUNOIA, A Series of Monologues and Duologues

The Chickenshed Theatre is set to stage Eunoia, which is a series of monologues and duologues from Tuesday, 8 February until Saturday, 19 February. Performances are to be held at The Chickenshed Theatre, Chase Side, Southgate, London N14 4PE and will take place at 7:30pm.

Arthur Schnitzler’s classic tale of love and infidelity, ROUND DANCE, is coming to New York in a new translation from the German by H. Clark Kee, who also directs. ROUND DANCE begins performances on Thursday, March 10 for a limited engagement through Sunday, March 27. 

BAM Presents The North American Premiere Of SONG OF THE NORTH

Brooklyn Academy of Arts presents the North American premiere of Hamid Rahmanian's newest large-scale cinematic live performance, Song of the North. Created and directed by Rahmanian and produced by Melissa Hibbard, the show will employ shadow puppetry, animation, movement, an original music score by Ramin Torkian with lead vocals by Azam Ali, and voiced dialogue to interactively tell a tale adapted from the Book of Kings (Shahnameh).
