Beginning in 2022, One Empire, Under God - the controversial dystopian drama by Anthony J. Piccione - will be available for online screening at theatre festivals worldwide on a periodic basis, beginning with an upcoming special Easter screening this April.

'Immersive' is one of those non-specific buzzwords that gets slapped on shows from time to time that could mean anything. There are undoubtedly more specific and meaningful words, and they could probably all be used to describe Jewel Box Theatre's production of BRIEF ENCOUNTER.

Broadway favorite Harvey Fierstein will release a book in 2022. Penguin Random House will publish 'I Was Better Last Night' on March 1. Alongside the release of the awaited memoir is a free livestream event in which Fierstein will discuss his memoir with journalist Michael Musto. The event is free to anyone who chooses to register, and will have a Q+A session after the interview.

17-year-old Baltimore-based actor and designer Sammy Jungwirth has acquired the rights to stage the 2004 West End musical Zelda through special arrangement with its original producer Charles Dobson and will be directing a new concert version of the show in the fall of 2022 in Maryland.

Due to the current state of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic-enforced travel and local restrictions, the EELS have announced that they have to reschedule their 2022 Lockdown Hurricane headline tour dates to Spring 2023. Cynthia Harvey, Artistic Director of the ABT Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis School since 2016, will leave her role at the conclusion of the school year in May 2022. A former Principal Dancer with ABT (1982-1996), Harvey was appointed Artistic Director of the ABT JKO School in January 2016 at the invitation of ABT Artistic Director Kevin McKenzie.

Theatrical licensor Music Theatre International (MTI) announced the licensing availability of Kinky Boots – the big-hearted show that won six Tonys including Best Musical, the Grammy for Best Musical Theatre album and London’s Olivier Award for Best Musical.  Kinky Boots features a joyous, Tony-winning score by pop icon Cyndi Lauper, and a hilarious, uplifting book by four-time Tony winner, Harvey Fierstein. Billy Porter won a Best Actor Tony Award for his portrayal of Lola.
