Girl From the North Country has officially set its Broadway return dates! The musical, which temporarily closed on January 23 with the promise of returning this spring, will return for a limited engagement, April 29-June 11 at the Belasco Theatre.

AIN’T TOO PROUD – THE LIFE AND TIMES OF THE TEMPTATIONS is coming to the Citizens Bank Opera House.  Performances April 19 – May 1, 2022 as part of the Lexus Broadway In Boston Season.

Ain’t Too Proud To Beg (ATPTB), The Life and Times Of The Temptations, based on the book by Dominique Morisseau, is a compelling, “tell-all” biographical musical about the triumphs and trials of Motown’s number one male group.

The National Tour of Ain't Too Proud officially kicked off at the Kennedy Center, after cancelling 15 performances due to COVID-19. Performances began on December 28 and continued through January 16.

Today, January 23, Broadway says goodbye to two beloved productions. Slave Play will conclude its limited run at the August Wilson Theatre following 9 previews and 58 regular performances; and Girl from the North Country pauses performances at the Belasco Theatre following 31 previews and 117 regular performances.

After a week of public performances at Durham Performing Arts Center, the tour will officially launch at the Kennedy Center in Washington D.C. this December, before continuing to 50+ cities across North America, including a homecoming to The Temptations roots in Detroit.

The cast of Girl From The North Country appeared on Good Morning America this morning to perform a medley of Bob Dylan classics, including 'Hurricane', 'License to Kill', and 'Slow Train'.

Girl From The North Country is pressing on with Broadway performances! The new show by  playwright Conor McPherson just reopened at the Belasco Theatre, where the company celebrated with a special jam session outside of the theatre. F*It Club, the New York Innovative Award-winning film and theatre company, will complete ten years of its annual series of short, commissioned world-premiere plays at the IRT Theater as part of their 3B Development Series in Manhattan's West Village with The Spring Fling: Happily Ever After.

Colin Bates will be joining the cast in the role of Gene Laine. Additionally, Alex Joseph Grayson, Housso Semon, Edward Staudenmayer, and Anastasia Talley will be joining the company as swings.

Just yesterday, 106.7 LITE FM's Broadway in Bryant Park returned this for a one-day-only event! Hosted by 106.7 LITE FM's Cubby & Christine, from the Cubby & Christine Morning Show, this year's annual presentation of open-air lunch hour performances was presented by Mercedes-Benz and Orgain.

Late last month several member of the cast, crew, and musicians of Girl From The North Country gathered at Mare Winningham’s barn for a day of picture perfect summer fun. This is the first time a lot of the cast had seen each other in 18 months.

The eagerly-awaited Girl From The North Country - Original Broadway Cast Recording, is now available for purchase and stream. The album was released by Legacy Recordings, a division of Sony Music Entertainment.
