The Town Hall is pleased to announce Portuguese singer Mariza in a special streaming concert event, being filmed exclusively for this broadcast. Recorded in Lisbon, Portugal to be webcast  January 29 at 8:00PM EST, Mariza will celebrate the release of her album 'Mariza Sings Amália' (on Nonesuch/Warner Bros. Records), which pays tribute to Amália Rodrigues, the Queen of Fado.

Michael James Scott is an actor and singer who originated the role of Genie in the Australian production of Disney's musical Aladdin, which opened in Sydney in August 2016. He received a Helpmann Award in 2017 for Best Performance by a Featured Actor in a Musical for his work in this production.

Producer Mark Cortale has announced that five award-winning stars of the stage and screen will join the January 2021 line-up of The Seth Concert Series, the live weekly series based on Seth Rudetsky’s international Broadway series that began at The Art House in Provincetown ten years ago.

Palm Beach Symphony and CBS12 News will broadcast a special holiday concert filled with sounds of the season airing on Christmas Eve at 8 p.m. and Christmas day at 9 a.m. and 7 p.m. The CW34 will simulcast the concert on Christmas morning and repeat the special on December 26 at 6 p.m.

Black Theatre Workshop will kick off its 50th Anniversary season with the annual Discovery Series, which will be streamed live on the BTW Facebook page on January 15, 2021. The series presents a reading of a new work in development and this year's play is Sanctuary by BTW's newly appointed Artistic Associate, Lydie Dubuisson.

Bay Street Theater & Sag Harbor Center for the Arts is announcing that registration is currently available for the 12-part online workshop Acting For The Camera with Don Stephenson. Sessions will be held online via Zoom on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6 to 7:30 p.m. starting January 26, 2021, and will continue through March 4.

Michael J. Hotopp, an award-winning theatrical and television scenic and lighting designer and producer, died on November 2, 2020, at Northern Dutchess Hospital in Rhinebeck, NY.  Hotopp was 74 years old.  

Staggars & Jags: A Musical Fable That Absolutely Happened, a scripted podcast musical created by Sander Randall and Riley Cecil Taggart, premiered early this week on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, Stitcher, and Google Podcasts.
