An all-new animated short, Dogs Playing Poker, has been released from Denis Leary and Fox Entertainment. The short was inspired by the iconic art series.

Homeland stars Mandy Patinkin and Claire Danes appeared on the at-home edition of The Late Show with Stephen Colbert.

SHOWTIME has released the poster art and first-look clip for the upcoming feature-length documentary THE LONGEST WAR, which hails from Emmy®-winning director Greg Barker (Manhunt: The Inside Story of the Hunt for Bin Laden) and Alex Gansa and Howard Gordon, the executive producers of the Emmy® and Peabody-winning series HOMELAND.

Today, SHOWTIME Documentary Films announced upcoming titles from its 2020 slate from preeminent documentarians, including LOVE FRAUD from Rachel Grady and Heidi Ewing, THE TRADE from Matthew Heineman, THE LONGEST WAR from Greg Barker, Alex Gansa and Howard Gordon, KINGDOM OF SILENCE from Alex Gibney, Rick Rowley and Lawrence Wright, and THE KINGMAKER from Lauren Greenfield. The announcement was made today by Gary Levine, President of Entertainment, Showtime Networks Inc., at the Television Critics Association's Winter Press Tour.

Emmy-nominated actor Hugh Dancy (Hannibal) will guest star in a multi-episode arc on the award-winning drama series HOMELAND, starring Emmy and Golden Globe winner Claire Danes and Emmy and Tony® winner Mandy Patinkin. Dancy will recur as John Zabel, a savvy Washington consultant who joins the White House as a new foreign-policy advisor to the President and a formidable opponent to Saul Berenson (Patinkin). The acclaimed series is currently in production on its eighth and final season and will premiere later this year.

Richard Gere is attached to star Apple's American adaptation of the Israeli drama series “Nevelot,' according to Variety. 

Rob Morrow and Jaime Camil hosted the American Friends of the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra (AFIPO) 2018 Los Angeles Gala, honoring Grammy and Tony-nominated American composer Stanley Silverman, on the occasion of his 80th birthday. The award was presented by his son and event co-chair Ben Silverman, Chairman and Co-CEO of Propagate Content. Previous recipients of the award include multi-Oscar winning composer Hans Zimmer in 2014, and conductor Zubin Mehta in 2017.

Fox has given a script commitment with penalty to Saturday Night Special, a drama about police officers in Washington, D.C, according to The Hollywood Reporter. The series comes from writer Robert Specland, who executive produces with Marc Platt and Adam Siegel. 

Today, SHOWTIME announced that the eighth season of its Emmy® and Golden Globe® winning hit drama HOMELAND will be the series' final season, and will premiere in June 2019. Starring Emmy, Screen Actors Guild® and Golden Globe winner Claire Danes and Emmy and Tony® winner Mandy Patinkin, production on the final 12 episodes will begin in early 2019 in a still to be determined location. The announcement was made by David Nevins, President and CEO of Showtime Networks Inc., at the Television Critics Association's Summer Press Tour.

According to Deadline, Clare Danes has confirmed today on Howard Stern's Sirius XM radio show that the hit series HOMELAND will end after the upcoming eighth season. The series is currently in it's seventh season on Showtime. In additional news, Danes' pregnancy is not expected to conflict with the shows production. Read more about it from Deadline here!

SHOWTIME and Fox 21 Television Studios announced today that the critically acclaimed drama HOMELAND will move to Virginia for production of the show's seventh season. The series will begin filming in Central Virginia this fall. HOMELAND's seventh season will premiere on SHOWTIME in 2018.
