Sundance Institute presents the films selected for the U.S. and World Cinema Dramatic and Documentary Competitions and the out-of-competition NEXT <=> section of the 2014 Sundance Film Festival, today, January 16-26 in Park City, Salt Lake City, Ogden and Sundance, Utah.

Deadline reports that Glenn Close will star as Anna Anderson, who claimed to be the Grand Russian Duchess Anastasia, in the upcoming film DUCHESS, directed by Arie Posin.

Tony Award-winning stage and screen notable Glenn Close is looking likely to join a collection of similarly accomplished leading ladies byway of an appearance on FX's hit horror anthology series AMERICAN HORROR STORY: COVEN according to a new cast listing.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, William Hurt will portray Gregg Allman in the upcoming biopic MIDNIGHT RIDER from Unclaimed Freight Productions' Randall Miller and Jody Savin.

After months of speculation, Marvel has finally confirmed that Vin Diesel will officially voice 'Groot' in the upcoming live-action film GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY. The studio posted the news this weekend, with the photo on the left attached.

At an event honoring the documentary 20 FEET FROM STARDOM at Edison Hotel's Rum House, Close reportedly hung 'back area of the bar singing and dancing along to Christmas carols. But she eventually moved closer to the singers, then got on the microphone herself to sing 'O Holy Night' with the film's stars Darlene Love, Lisa Fischer and Judith Hill.'

This marks Karen's return to her hometown, which began as a holiday tradition when she was a mainstay on the Chicago nightclub circuit in the late 1970's and early 80s with her longtime musical collaborator Brian Lasser, before heading off for stardom in New York and Broadway.

54 BELOW, Broadway's Supper Club, presents Ilene, Randy, and Todd Graff, and Nikka Graff Lanzarone in 'The Graff Family Holiday Special,' tonight, December 14th at 11 P.M., and in a sold out show on Monday, December 16, 2013 at 7 P.M. This talented family will perform a host of holiday favorites and tunes from their various forays on the Great White Way in the tradition of the Andy Williams Christmas specials that mesmerized them as children. Sundance Institute announced today the films from the 2014 Sundance Film Festival that will each screen in one of nine independent theaters in cities across the country on January 30 as part of the Sundance Film Festival USA initiative.
