The epic story returns. Tony Kushner's two-part play, ANGELS IN AMERICA makes its way back to Broadway tonight! A cast led by Tony nominee Andrew Garfield and two-time Tony winner Nathan Lane will begin previews tonight at the Neil Simon Theatre with Part 1: Millennium Approaches. Angels in America has announced its digital lottery and general rush policy. The lottery will be powered by Broadway Direct. A limited number of lottery tickets will be made available to performances of the limited engagement. Angels in America is a two-part performance. Lottery tickets will be sold for both Part One, Millennium Approaches and Part Two, Perestroika together. The lottery will not be available for individual performances. The total combined price for both parts is $74 including facilities fees ($37 per part).

This strictly limited, 18-week engagement, now in rehearsals, will begin performances on Friday, February 23, 2018, with an official opening on Sunday, March 25, 2018.

BroadwayWorld has learned that Tony-nominee Beth Malone (Fun Home) joins the cast of Broadway's Angels in America. She will play at select performances in the role of 'The Angel.' Also new to the cast is: Patrick Andrews, Glynis Bell, Amy Blackman, Curt James, Rowan Ian Seamus Magee, Mark Nelson, Matty Oaks, Genesis Oliver, Jane Pfitsch, Lee Aaron Rosen, Ron Todorowski, Silvia Vrskova and Lucy York.

Pressing Matters will begin performances on Saturday, April 15 and celebrate its opening night on Thursday, April 20 running through May 20, 2017 at Theatre Row's Clurman Theatre (410 West 42nd Street).

Colt Coeur presents the World Premiere of Empathitrax by playwright Ana Nogueira at HERE (145 Sixth Avenue, between Spring and Broome) for a strictly limited engagement through Saturday, October 1, 2016. How to Live on Earth is a haunting new play about our unrelenting obsession with the next frontier and the desire to give your life for something greater than yourself. Inspired in part by the Mars One project to colonize Mars by 2025 - this piece is a funny, wry, and deeply truthful portrait of the fears and hopes that drive us towards exploration and expansion. 

Celia Keenan-Bolger (The Glass Menagerie) will join Adrienne Campbell-Holt (Dry Land, Colt Coeur), Genesis Oliver (Everything is Ours, Colt Coeur), Matt Stadelmann (SEVEN MINUTES IN HEAVEN, Colt Coeur), Katya Campbell (How to Make Friends and then Kill Them, Rattlestick) and other Colt Coeur company members in a performance of new plays by Brooklyn public school students ages 11 to 15.

Thanks to the generous support of the Virginia B. Toulmin Foundation Brooklyn-based theatre company Colt Coeur (Dry Land by Ruby Rae Spiegel, Everything is Ours, by Nikole Beckwith) has commissioned playwright Amelia Roper to create an original play over the next year, with an eye towards production in the company's 2015-2016 season.
