FEINSTEIN’S/54 BELOW, Broadway’s Supper Club, will present a one-night-only concert by one of musical theatre’s most compelling new voices, Oliver Houser.

This month, FEINSTEIN’S/54 BELOW, Broadway’s Supper Club & Private Event Destination, will present some of the brightest stars from Broadway, cabaret, jazz, and beyond.

Until recently, seeing live indoor theatre seemed like a relic of the distant past, and sitting in the audience for a play that can only be described as a rap-infused comic book comedy about Vietnamese refugees is something that definitely wasn't on my bingo card for 2021, and yet here we are. There's a lot to unpack with 'Vietgone', but overall, productions with this much flair, surprise, and unique storytelling are exactly what I've missed about Geva Theatre over the past 18 months.

New York Stage and Film announced final casting today for their upcoming summer season, running July 17-August 1, with in-person programming in Poughkeepsie. Additional programming includes Billy Porter’s new Gospel musical Sanctuary as part of New York Stage and Film’s Always On virtual programming, available July 29-August 2.

Wai Ching Ho ('Marvel's The Defenders'; ENDLINGS, New York Theatre Workshop), James Chen ('FBI'; 'The Walking Dead'), and Jon Norman Schneider (Bitter Melon; HENRY VI, PARTS 1-3, National Asian American Theatre Company) lead the cast and program of Second Generation Productions' (2g's) INFLECTIONS, five short new works about the undulations of the Asian American life, curated by Executive Producer Victor Malana Maog (Disney, American Conservatory Theater, Magic Theater, Cal Shakes). Jonathan Castanien (The Sống Collective, Atlantic Theater, Manhattan Theatre Club) produces.

New York Theatre Barn will present its first Choreography Lab of 2021,1 Show/3 Choreographers, on Wednesday, May 19th, at 7PM EST. Taking inspiration from theatrical television events, this lab will be streamed live from Broadway Dance Center in New York City.

The NYCLU today announced the Artist Ambassadors class of 2021, a multidisciplinary partnership between the organization and New York’s vibrant performing arts community.

Ghostlist Records has announced it will record the new musical Soft Power, the New York premiere production from The Public Theater (Artistic Director, Oskar Eustis; Executive Director, Patrick Willingham), for an original cast album to be released Spring 2020. Soft Power features play and lyrics by Tony Award winner David Henry Hwang and music and additional lyrics by Tony Award winner Jeanine Tesori, with choreography by Tony nominee Sam Pinkleton. A co-commission and co-production with Center Theatre Group, Tony nominee Leigh Silverman directed this groundbreaking new musical-within-a-play.
