The influential Chicago theater critic Richard Christiansen has passed away at 90. 

Steppenwolf Theatre Company opened today its trailblazing new 50,000 square foot theater building and education center, the Liz and Eric Lefkofsky Arts and Education Center.

In celebration of the 50th Anniversary of Walt Disney World Resort, ABC will present a spectacular television event, “The Most Magical Story on Earth: 50 Years of Walt Disney World,” taking viewers on a historical journey spanning half a century and beyond at Walt Disney World in Florida.

Grammy Award artist,  musician, composer, and singer Jose Feliciano received the prestigious Adelia Award from  the Saint Pio Foundation. The Foundation presents this award each year to individuals  whose selfless and outstanding contributions serve as extraordinary examples of providing  relief from suffering to those in need.

Capital Concerts continues a beloved tradition today with the NATIONAL MEMORIAL DAY CONCERT on PBS, hosted by Tony Award-winner Joe Mantegna and Emmy Award-winning actor and humanitarian Gary Sinise with all-star performances and tributes from Washington, D.C. and around the country honoring all of our American heroes. Steppenwolf’s production of The Minutes by Tracy Letts, directed by Anna D. Shapiro, will be loading its set out of the Cort Theatre this Monday, November 16th to make way for the previously planned renovation of the Cort and the construction at the adjacent property.
