Urban Stages has announced Urban Stagesa?? September Play Fest & Fundraiser, a series of virtual readings of plays by Urban Stagesa?? artists. These online performances will fundraise to continue the theatera??s decades-long efforts of discovering and producing new plays by diverse up-and-coming artists.
Urban Stages announced the release of two Off-Broadway productions on YouTube beginning Friday, May 15 at noon. First up will be Dogs of Rwanda, written by Sean Christopher Lewis, directed by Frances Hill and Peter Napolitano, starring Dan Hodge, with music composed and performed by Abou Lion Diarra.

Seven playwrights have been challenged to write a brand spanking new short play using a tourist trap (Mount Rushmore, Hollywood Sign, etc) as a springboard.
