FSCJ Artist Series will present a production of THE PIRATES OF PENZANCE opera in Jacksonville, FL, with tickets going on sale soon.

Full casting has been announced for the North American tour of the Tony Award-winning Best Musical Comedy Monty Python’s SPAMALOT. The production will launch at Playhouse Square in Cleveland, Ohio, beginning performances Monday, December 1.

The Cover Up, a new play by Jon Marans, will receive an invitational reading at The Barrow Group Theatre on Monday, November 3, at 2:15 p.m. (note updated time).

To commemorate the 20th anniversary of the Tony Award-winning hit musical Monty Python’s Spamalot, the first-ever vinyl release of the original Broadway cast recording will be released featuring the never-before-released track, “The Cow Song.”

The Gilded Age recently wrapped up its third season on HBO, to record-setting viewership. Much to the delight of theatre fans, the cast of the show includes a wealth of actors who are beloved for their work in theatre. Cast by Adam Caldwell and Bernie Telsey, The Gilded Age shoots in the New York area, which gave the team the ability to cast many actors who regularly work in theatre.

“The role requires quite a range of acting; it calls for all the colors of true love, as well as grief, anger frustration, the whole spectrum playing out in the two-day time period of the show. And Bernstein’s score is groundbreaking. It’s full of so many colors that accurately express the emotions and subtexts of all the characters through these little motifs.  It stands alone; it’s unique in style.” Actor Coleman Cummings is musing on the challenge he is undertaking in making his role debut as Tony in Maine State Music Theatre’s WEST SIDE STORY, which runs from August 6-23, 2025 at Brunswick’s Pickard Theater. For Cummings, this will be his second appearance with the company, having portrayed Dimitry in ANASTASIA earlier in the season.

A new version of the classic, The Pirates of Penzance, is currently commanding the stage at Roundabout’s Todd Haimes Theatre on 42nd Street—formerly the American Airlines and before that, the Selwyn. This revisal of the beloved show is titled: Pirates! The Penzance Musical.

The North American Tour of the Tony Award-winning Best Musical Comedy Monty Python’s SPAMALOT will launch at Playhouse Square in Cleveland, OH.

Pirates of Penzance, directed by Nick Montesano with musical direction by Jeff Brown, will return to the Palaia stage at The Jersey Shore Arts Center having been the first show that NENA produced there over 20 years ago.

The national tour of Parade, starring Max Chernin and Talia Suskauer, will play The 5th Avenue Theatre from April 16th through May 4, 2025. Watch a trailer for the tour in the video here!
