All-Female Comedy Show BROAD COMEDY Begins at The SoHo Playhouse Tonight

Due to popular demand, YouTube sensation Katie Goodman's Broad Comedywill return to the SoHo Playhouse (sohoplayhouse.com) beginning January 29, 2018. The internationally-touring riotous, ridiculous, and in-your-face all-women troupe, Broad Comedy, stars Danielle Cohn, Molly Kelleher, Tana Sirois, Carlita Victoria and Katie Goodman. Broad Comedy played the SoHo Playhouse last May in a limited three-show run and is being welcomed back for an official Off-Broadway run, playing Mondays at 7:30pm through March 26 at the Soho Playhouse (15 Vandam Street). Acclaimed multidisciplinary Iranian-American vocalist and artist Sussan Deyhim will perform The House Is Black Media Project, a years-in-the-making work that marshals various facets of her dauntless career opera, cinema, poetry, theater, video and performance art to manifest the world of Iranian modernist Forough Farrokhzad's poetry and film, February 1-3, 2018, at Los Angeles' Wallis Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts, and March 10, 2018, at New York's Metropolitan Museum of Art. Surrounding The Wallis performances will be an exhibit, Dawn of the Cold Season, on view from January 15-February 4, 2018.

WP Theater has announced that it is now taking applications for its 2018-2020 Lab. WP Theater is looking for female-identified or trans playwrights, directors, and producers who crave an artistic home, professional support, and the resources to launch them into the next phase of their careers to join the 2018-2020 WP Lab. The two-year residency, which culminates with the biennial WP Pipeline Festival, is currently taking applications through March 1, 2018.
