The London Film Festival Announces Full Lineup, Opening with European Premiere of Steve McQueen's WIDOWS

The 62nd BFI London Film Festival in partnership with American Express® today announces its full programme, featuring a diverse selection of 225 feature films from both established and emerging talent. This 12-day celebration of cinema illustrates the richness of international filmmaking, with films to delight and entertain audiences, and also films that probe and interrogate issues of significance.

Marylouise Burke and Gary Wilmes Join Roundabout's TRUE WEST; Full Cast and Creative

Roundabout Theatre Company has announced full casting for the new Broadway production of Sam Shepard's TRUE WEST, directed by James Macdonald, starring acclaimed screen and stage actors Ethan Hawke as "Lee" and Paul Dano as "Austin." Marylouise Burke and Gary Wilmes join the cast as "Mom" and "Saul Kimmer."

Access Theater Expands Residency Program, Announces 2018-2019 Artists

Access Theater is thrilled to announce the theater companies and artists who will join the Access community as 2018-2019 Resident Artists. The seven theater companies that will be in residence for the full year are: The Anthropologists, The Navigators, Rat Queen Theatre, Square One Collective, Tiny Trip, Upstream Artists' Collective, and Puss Collective. The individual artists who will spend six months as residents at Access include: Ashley Griffin, James Kennedy, Minhui Lee, Noam Shapiro and Paulo K Tirol, Ran Xia, Susanna Wolk and Justine Gelfman, Ty Defoe and Tidtaya Sinutoke, and Valerie L Work.

The New Group celebrated Opening Night of Lily Thorne's Peace for Mary Frances last night, with Heather Burns, Johanna Day, Natalie Gold, Mia Katigbak, Paul Lazar, Brian Miskell, Melle Powers, Lois Smith and J. Smith-Cameron, in a world premiere production directed by Lila Neugebauer. A limited Off-Broadway engagement is slated through June 17 at The Pershing Square Signature Center (The Alice Griffin Jewel Box Theatre, 480 West 42nd Street).

The Tank To Celebrate 15th Anniversary With Gala Today

The Tank (Meghan Finn and Rosalind Grush, Artistic Directors) will hold their 15th Anniversary Gala today, May 22 at their home, 312 West 36th Street (between 8th and 9th Avenues). The event will honor Randi Berry of IndieSpace, an organization that creates 'permanent real estate solutions for the independent theater community'. IndieSpace was instrumental in finding The Tank's new home, and we'll be celebrating The Tank's home, history, and future with this exciting event. Born with Down syndrome, Daniel was institutionalized, and his existence was never acknowledged by his parents. Written by playwright and renowned journalist Bernard Weinraub (The Accomplices, Above the Fold), and directed by Huntington Artistic Director Peter DuBois, Fall runs May 18 - June 16, 2018 at the Huntington's Stanford Calderwood Pavilion at the Boston Center for the Arts.
