January 2023 offerings at Wallis Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts include the Los Angeles premiere of Wise Children's theatrical production of Wuthering Heights, based on Emily Brontë's masterful novel, and The Wallis debut of Los Angeles Chamber Orchestra, featuring a program of compelling Baroque Concerti.

Berkeley Repertory Theatre has announced the full cast and creative team for the West Coast premiere of Emma Rice’s critically acclaimed Wuthering Heights, a reimagined version of Emily Brontë’s gothic masterpiece. Performances begin Friday, November 18 and continue through Sunday, January 1, 2023.

Opening the 2022/23 Season at the London Coliseum, the English National Opera (ENO) presents Puccini’s much-loved thriller, Tosca. Receiving its UK premiere, this staging was last seen at The Finnish National Opera in 2018. See photos from inside rehearsal!

The co-production with the National Theatre, Bristol Old Vic and York Theatre Royal, in association with Berkeley Repertory Theater, makes its US première at St Ann's Warehouse, New York, on 14 October, before touring to Berkeley Repertory Theater, the Wallis Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts and Chicago Shakespeare Theater, with more dates to be announced.

Critically acclaimed Wise Children, led by Artistic Director Emma Rice, has announced they have become the owners of the old Portway Methodist Church in Frome. The space, renamed The Lucky Chance, will become the company’s permanent home to workshop new ideas, rehearse shows, and provide a base for The School for Wise Children.

Drawing inspiration from concerts that evolved from Brooklyn front porches to its own rooftop balcony and large-scale exhibitions mounted on its exterior facade, St. Ann’s Warehouse will return, merging public art, theater, and activism at a whole new level.
