Jay Blakesberg Announces New Book JERRY GARCIA: SECRET SPACE OF DREAMS

With Labor Day 2019 just behind us, famed rock photographer Jay Blakesberg announces the release of his latest photographic endeavor, JERRY GARCIA: Secret Space of Dreams – a fine art, hardcover photography book of Jerry Garcia, beginning from the middle of his career with the Grateful Dead and covering the last third of his life.

New Season of LIVE FROM THE ARTISTS DEN Airs Sept. 16

The innovative and long-running concert series Live from the Artists Den announced their 13th season will launch the week of September 16th nationwide on public television (check local listings). Episodes from the new season premiere weekly and feature performances by Grammy nominated, multi-platinum selling singer/songwriter Shawn Mendes, platinum-selling, multi-talented pop futurist Charli XCX, Grammy Award-nominated and BRIT award-winning singer/songwriter James Bay and multi-platinum Australian singer/songwriter Vance Joy. The new season of the three-time Emmy-nominated, critically acclaimed music television series celebrates its 10th anniversary on public television this fall. Leeroy Stagger Debuts New Single 'Deeper Well'

Today, Alberta singer-songwriter Leeroy Stagger sets himself free on new track a?oeDeeper Wella??, premiered with New Noise Magazine. While the tempo is upbeat and breezy, underneath its surface is a story of survival and moving forward. Stagger reflects on his past, declaring in the song's first verse a?oeI've been a fighter all my life.a?? This strength is present throughout Stagger's forthcoming album Strange Path due out September 13 via True North Records. Previously, Stagger released Marie Antoinette and The Favourite inspired-video for lead single a?oeStrange Attractora??.

Singer-Songwriter Jerry Leger To Release New LP Nov. 8, Releases New Single

Jerry Leger has a thing for ghosts. The Toronto singer/songwriter confirmed it a couple of years ago when he went on a personal journey to explore many of Ontario's largely unknown ghost towns, having been inspired by the writings of historian Ron Brown. Leger has immortalized one of those towns, Burchell Lake, on his new album Time Out For Tomorrow, containing 10 portraits of the impermanence of life, love, or simply catching a glimpse of a shooting star.

United Music Of Brussels Announces Programme

On 7 September, La Monnaie, the Belgian National Orchestra and BOZAR join forces once again for United Music of Brussels, the traditional musical journey that kicks off the season. The fourth edition is all about encounters: between musicians from different ensembles and of different genres, genres and places, city locations and music, and of course with the public. From 2:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., from the Horta Hall at the Centre for Fine Arts to Ancienne Belgique, the public and passers-by can enjoy novel musical experiences, old melodies, surprising arrangements, unexpected venues, and, above all, marvel at how music brings us together.

Jazz Vocalist Magos Herrera And Brooklyn Rider String Quartet Perform Latin Classics At The Wallis

Famed Mexican-born jazz vocalist Magos Herrera joins the genre-defying string quartet Brooklyn Rider (Johnny Gandelsman, violin; Colin Jacobsen, violin; Nicholas Cords, viola; and Michael Nicolas, cello), hailed as a?oethe future of chamber musica?? (Strings), for an unforgettable musical journey reinterpreting Latin classics from their 2018 recording, Dreamers, on Wednesday, October 10, 2019, in the Bram Goldsmith Theater at The Wallis. The album, on Sony Music Masterworks, features a collection of works from the Ibero-American songbook as well as pieces written to texts by Octavio Paz, Rubén Darío and Federico García Lorca and reimagined by such noted arrangers as Jaques Morelenbaum, Gonzalo Grau, Diego Schissi, Guillermo Klein and Brooklyn Rider's own Colin Jacobsen. These compelling works from Mexico, Cuba, Peru, Chile, Brazil, Argentina and Spain illuminate the essential role poets and songwriters play as dreamers, sharing their faith in humanity and generating hope. NPR hails Dreamers as a?oea vocally resplendent album, one for the head and the heart.a?? A Preludes @ The Wallis pre-concert conversation moderated by Classical KUSC's Brian Lauritzen will be held before the concert with the artists along with a complimentary glass of wine.

Leeroy Stagger Announces National Tour

To say that Alberta musician Leeroy Stagger's life journey has followed a strange path would be a bit of an understatement. A celebrated artist for nearly two decades and 10 years sober, he gained national attention with Hot Hot Heat and Carolyn Mark and has built a world class recording studio. A lush reflection of his life's evolution, Strange Path is the title of his newest album and book, due out September 13 via True North Records. Jon Regen Releases Title Track From New Album HIGHER GROUND

August 1, 2019: The New York-based singer, songwriter and acclaimed pianist Jon Regen has released the title track to his forthcoming album Higher Ground out October 4 via Ropeadope. This morning, Forbes premiered the song, which features a cameo from his son Gabriel.

Graceland Announces Additional Guests for Elvis Week 2019

Photographer and revered long-time on-air radio personality Julie Kramer will uncover her new rock & roll photography exhibition The Basement Archives: The Ghosts of WFNX: Volume II, taking over Boston Center for Adult Education (BCAE) with over 100 portraits and live-concert images of celebrity musicians. The exhibition takes place at Boston Center for Adult Education, located at 122 Arlington Street, in Boston's Back Bay. The exhibition runs July 20 through December 20, 2019, and the opening reception, Saturday, July 20 from 4-8pm, is free and open to the public with reservation at https:bcae.orgeventrsvp. POP ETC Announces 'Covers Collection'

On July 26th, POP ETC will release Covers Collection, a selection of 21-reimagined songs that inspired the band throughout their career, including The Strokes' “Last Nite,”  The Beach Boys' “God Only Knows,” David Bowie's “Ashes to Ashes,” and many more. Billy Porter to Receive Star on Hollywood Walk of Fame

A new group of entertainment professionals in the categories of Motion Pictures, Television, Live TheatreLive Performance, Recording and Radio have been selected to receive stars on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, the full list was announced today, June 20, 2019 at 12:30 P.M. by the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce's Walk of Fame Selection Committee. The newest honorees were chosen from hundreds of nominations at a selection committee meeting held in June and will be ratified by the Hollywood Chamber's Board of Directors. Walk of Fameractresssinger Vanessa Williams, a committee member for the 2019-2020 Selection Committee, announced the new honorees with Rana Ghadban, President & CEO of the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce.

KCRW and the Hammer Museum Announce Line-Up for 2019 Summer Nights
