LES MISERABLES Comes to Segerstrom Center For the Arts in September

Cameron Mackintosh’s acclaimed production of Alain Boublil and Claude-Michel Schönberg’s Tony Award-winning musical phenomenon, LES MISÉRABLES, will play for two weeks in Costa Mesa at Segerstrom Center for the Arts in Segerstrom Hall from September 19 - October 1, 2023.

EDINBURGH 2023: Review: HONEYBEE, Pleasance Courtyard

As bass blasts through the speakers of the cave-like intimate theatre, Elle Dillon-Reams bursts onstage in a sequined jumpsuit, limbs pulsing in time to the rhythms. HoneyBEE, a solo performance combining spoken word, dance, gig theatre, physical theatre, and storytelling maintains this electric festival energy throughout.

HRS Productions and Orgasmico’s Exorcistic: The Unauthorized Rock Musical Parody of The Exorcist has taken up residence at Three Clubs in Hollywood playing Fridays and Saturdays through September 22, 2023. This original rock musical co-directed by Chadd McMillan and Alli Miller-Fisher, features book, lyrics and music by Michael Shaw Fisher. Camal Pugh choreographed the triple-threat cast of: Nick Bredosky, Brian Logan Dales, Kim Dalton, Frankie Grande, Emma Hunton, Mitchell Gerrard Johnson, Janaya Mahealani Jones, Jesse Merlin, Michael Shaw Fisher, Leigh Wullf and Gabby Sanalitro. Rotating Diva guests include: Carly Jibson, Garret Clayton, Jeff Sumner, Marissa Jaret Winokur, Elle Deran, Matt Shively and Brendan Hunt. Camal took some time between his teaching and creating to answer a few of my queries.

Tyler Childers to Release 'Rustin' In The Rain' Album in September

In advance of the album, the first single, “In Your Love,” is out now. Written and creative directed by Silas House (with a story idea by House and Jason Kyle Howard), the video was directed by Bryan Schlam and stars Colton Haynes and James Scully and depicts a timeless love story of two men set in rural Appalachia in the 1950s. 

Gia Woods Shares New Disco Track 'Elevation'

“Elevation” is a soaring dance track. Flirtatious and fun, the track mixes electronic sounds with a heavy pop influence, creating a modern single that could feel at home on Britney Spears’ Blackout. “Elevation”’s addictive hook is paired with bouncy percussion and Gia’s sultry falsetto to sonically mimic the euphoric feeling of a new beginning.

Sara Bareilles Sets New Concerts at Rockwood Music Hall

Sara Bareilles has announced an expansion to the initiative to help benefit the employees and artists of Rockwood Music Hall. The #PreserveRockwood benefit concert series began last month with artists like Bareilles, Elle King and Ingrid Michaelson, who are joining together to help save the iconic independent New York City musical institution.
