The multi award-winning Lichfield Garrick Theatre has announced a glittering brand-new 2019/2020 Winter/Spring season today. The theatre will welcome a variety of West End productions, musicals, drama, star names, top class live music and blockbuster films to its main stage and studio theatre.

Edward Norton talks about how he got involved in an urban farming nonprofit in Harlem.

'So an actor walked into my office...,' Rozanne Gates began. For over 20 years as an actor's agent in New York City at The Michael Thomas Agency, Gates had hundreds of actors walking into her office. Her job was to make the choice between who got represented and who didn't - and then to make sure that they worked successfully. Film at Lincoln Center announces Edward Norton's Motherless Brooklyn as Closing Night of the 57th New York Film Festival (September 27 – October 13), making its New York premiere at Alice Tully Hall on Friday, October 11, 2019. The film will be released by Warner Bros. Pictures later this year. 

TIFF Co-Heads Cameron Bailey and Joana Vicente today announced the first round of titles selected for the Gala and Special Presentations programmes at the 44th Toronto International Film Festival. This first batch of films from the 2019 Official Selection features 18 Galas and 38 Special Presentations.

Acclaimed performers Matt Cusson, Celisse Henderson, and Erica Sweany will join the one-night only, TodayTix Presents celebration of "Brownstone," a new musical written by singer/songwriter Brian Gallagher. The concert, held at City Winery (155 Varick St.) on May 28, will also feature vocals by Tony Nominee and NBC "Smash" star Megan Hilty.

Netflix today announced that it has acquired the StoryBots property, the Emmy, Annie, and Parents' Choice Award-winning children's media brand created by Gregg and Evan Spiridellis. The brothers have entered into an overall deal with Netflix to significantly expand the universe of the beloved StoryBots, building on the characters that kids across the globe now know and love. The acquisition is a sign of Netflix's commitment to bring educational content to its growing member base of kids and families around the world.

Black Violin brings their 2019 http://blackviolin.net/shows/ to Mayo Performing Arts Center on Thursday, May 16 at 7:30 pm. Tickets are $29-$59.

LAGUNA PLAYHOUSE presents a co-production with the Rubicon Theatre Company, HEISENBERG, written by Simon Stephens (The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time) directed by Katherine Farmer (South Pacific, Gulf View Drive) and starring Faline England (Valentine's Day) & Joe Spano (Hill Street Blues and NCIS).
