Richard Kind and Adriane Lenox Sign on for THRILLSVILLE Reading at George Street Playhouse

Veteran star of stage and screen Richard Kind, Tony Award winner Adriane Lenox (Doubt) will join Edie Falco, a multiple Emmy Award winner for her leading roles in The Sopranos and Nurse Jackie, and Grant Shaud, well known to many as Miles on Murphy Brown, have signed on for George Street Playhouse's special reading of Matt Hoverman's new play, THRILLSVILLE.

Edie Falco & Grant Shaud to Lead Reading of THRILLSVILLE at George Street Playhouse

George Street Playhouse announced today that Edie Falco, an Emmy Award winner for her leading roles in The Sopranos and Nurse Jackie, and Grant Shaud, well known to TV audiences from his role of Miles Silverman on Murphy Brown, will perform a special reading of Matt Hoverman's new play, Thrillsville, directed by Michael Mastro, at the New Brunswick theatre on Thursday, November 19, 2015, at 7 pm. Proceeds of the one-night-only performance will benefit George Street Playhouse.

Tom Fontana, Paul Fontana & Margot Harley to be Honored at The Acting Company's Gala

The Acting Company (Margot Harley, Co-Founder and Producer), America's best known touring repertory theater, will honor Emmy Award-winner Tom Fontana, educator and student mentor Paul Fontana, and Acting Company Co-founder and Producer Margot Harley at a Gala Benefit evening on Monday, November 9th atCapitale (130 Bowery - between Broome & Grand Sts). Both of the gentlemen will each be presented with the Warburg Humanitarian Award for their outstanding philanthropic endeavors on behalf of children, education and the arts, while Ms. Harley will be saluted for her 43 years of leadership and achievement as she steps down as Producer of The Acting Company.

Today, October 16, The Chernuchin Theatre, one of the theatres housed at The American Theatre for Actors (ATA, 314 West 54th Street, New York City) will be named for beloved Broadway legend and two-time Tony Award winner John Cullum. He is best known as Holling, the bartender in 'Northern Exposure.'

Through out the past week, BroadwayWorld has been brinigng you coverage of the 67th Annual Emmy Awards with a decidedly theatre-specific focus, and tonight will be no different.
