Hartford Stage announced today the cast and creatives for its upcoming production of the East Coast Premiere of the hilarious Kiss My Aztec!

Classic Stage Company and Barnes & Noble announced today a cast album release event for the new cast recording of Stephen Sondheim and John Weidman’s Assassins. Featuring members of the cast and creative team of CSC’s hit 2021 production, the event will take place on Friday May 6 at 7pm at the Union Square location of Barnes & Noble.

Earlier this spring, Broadway Records released ASSASSINS (The 2022 Off-Broadway Cast Recording), giving fans of Stephen Sondheim our third English language commercially released recording of this brilliant score. Closed early because of Omicron, Broadway Records preserved this cast's wonderfully nuanced performances.

Classic Stage Company announced today a one-night-only concert performance of Stephen Sondheim and John Weidman’s Assassins on Broadway to benefit CSC. Featuring the complete cast of CSC’s hit 2021 production, the performance of Assassins will take place on Monday, May 9 at 7pm at The Stephen Sondheim Theatre (124 West 43rd Street).

Broadway Records announced today the digital release of Assassins (The 2022 Off-Broadway Cast Recording). The album preserves Stephen Sondheim's full score with the recent Classic Stage Company cast with direction by John Doyle.

If Anyone Can Whistle must be a concert, please, let it be a concert like this. MasterVoices, an organization dedicated to elevating choral works, brought the show to Carnegie Hall for a one-night engagement. They masterfully adapted the show as a scaled-down concert version, dropping any bells and whistles.

The performance starred Vanessa Williams in the role of a corrupt mayor of a small economically depressed American town. Joining her were Elizabeth Stanley, Tony Award winner Santino Fontana, Douglas Sills, Eddie Cooper, and Michael Mulheren. The show was narrated by Joanna Gleason. It was directed and conducted by MasterVoices Artistic Director Ted Sperling.

Tonight, March 10, 2022, the concert production of MasterVoices' performance of Anyone Can Whistle, takes the stage at ​​​​​​​ Carnegie Hall. The performance will star Vanessa Williams, who performed in the 2002 Broadway revival of Sondheim's Into the Woods and the 2010 revue Sondheim on Sondheim, in the role of a corrupt mayor of a small economically depressed American town.

BroadwayWorld has learned that Joanna Gleason will join the cast of the concert production of Anyone Can Whistle at Carnegie Hall, taking place  on Thursday, March 10.

Classic Stage Company has announced that Danny Wolohan will replace Andy Grotelueschen as Samuel Byck in the company’s sold-out production of Stephen Sondheim and John Weidman’s Assassins, directed by CSC Artistic Director John Doyle. 

Classic Stage Company has added a performance to its sold-out production of Stephen Sondheim and John Weidman’s Assassins to benefit The Actors Fund, on Sunday, January 9, 2022, at 2pm ET. Tickets, priced at $125 each, will become available to In the Spotlight members of The Actors Fund on Tuesday, December 21, at 12pm ET.

Classic Stage Company will join the New York theater community by dimming its marquee and lobby lights in honor of Stephen Sondheim this Wednesday at 6:30pm, just prior to the evening performance of CSC’s current production of Sondheim and John Weidman’s Assassins.
