The smash-hit musical comedy, 44 – THE MUSICAL has announced a four-week extension. The musical played to sold-out audiences in Chicago and Los Angeles and has been playing to sold-out audiences in New York since first preview in October.

Beloved Seattle theater mainstay, Director Timothy McCuen Piggee (Hello, Dolly!), brings a triumphant new take to Village Theatre's production of The Color Purple, a powerful musical celebration of resilience and self-discovery featuring a Grammy Award-winning score infused with jazz, gospel, ragtime and the blues, with music supervision by American theater legend Sheilah V Walker (Broadway's Porgy and Bess and Ragtime, The Color Purple National Tour).

As the new North American tour of Disney's Aladdin will celebrate its one-year anniversary on Monday, October 16, the hit Broadway musical comedy's worldwide success continues with its 11th and 12th productions opening during the next year.

Aladdin will begin performances in San Francisco at BroadwaySF’s Orpheum Theatre on Wednesday, August 2 for a limited engagement through Sunday, August 13.  

Disney Theatrical Productions, under the direction of Thomas Schumacher, and Popejoy Presents Haverland Carter Broadway in New Mexico are pleased to announce casting for the Albuquerque engagement of Disney's ALADDIN. The hit Broadway musical comedy will begin performances in Albuquerque at Popejoy Hall on Wednesday, June 7, 2023 for a limited engagement of seven performances through Sunday, June 11, 2023.    

Colorful and campy, fast-paced and royally entertaining – and about as much fun as current Tennessee laws may allow (our state legislature’s supermajority, however, might be clutching their pearls and wailing about “who’ll protect the children?” even as the youngsters surrounding me on opening night were having the times of their lives) – Disney’s Aladdin has arrived in Music City via magic carpet, bus and truck. And grabbing a ticket to the show’s Nashville run should be among anyone’s three wishes (along with, of course, tickets for Taylor Swift, Janet Jackson and/or Trevor Noah, all of whom are upping the entertainment quotient – and demand for parking spaces – this weekend) for pure escapism!
