The New London Barn Playhouse has announced the start of the two-week run of Always…Patsy Cline to conclude the 2021 summer season. The production opens on Wednesday, August 25th at 8pm and runs thru Sunday, September 5th.

With direction by Richard J. Hinds (Ogunquit Playhouse’s Mamma Mia!) and choreography by Brandon Kelly (Remix at Carowinds), your cares are guaranteed to melt away like sunsets over the beach.

The Ogunquit Playhouse rolls out the second show of its 2021 season with a performance of Jimmy Buffet's Escape to Margaritaville, a jukebox musical with music and lyrics by (no surprise) Jimmy Buffet and book by Greg Garcia and Mike O'Malley.

Escape to Margaritaville follows Tully, JD, Brick, Jamal, and Marley as they welcome a revolving door of vacationers to the Margaritaville hotel, blissfully unaware that the impending arrival of Rachel and Tammy will turn their world upside down.

Kick off your flip flops as Ogunquit Playhouse transforms into a Caribbean oasis where love and laughter are the keys to growing older without having to grow up. Escape to Margaritaville will feature Cailen Fu (Broadway’s Mean Girls) as Rachel, Jake David Smith (Broadway’s Frozen) as Tully, Megan Kane (Emojiland) as Tammy, and more.

Casting is now complete for the upcoming classic American musical Cabaret, produced by Broadway Method Academy. A host of college-aged and professional actors will comprise the company.

The Office! A Musical Parody is among the first Off-Broadway shows to resume performances after live theatre shuttered due to the pandemic over a year ago. The show officially resumed performances (at 33% reduced capacity) on Friday, April 9, 2021 at 7:30PM in the Jerry Orbach Theater at The Theater Center (210 West 50th Street).

The unauthorized send up of the hit TV series will feature Emma Brock as Michael Scott, Laura Mehl as Pam, Danny Adam as Jim, Devina Sebnis as Kelly, Nathan David Smith as Dwight, Emily Qualmann as Phyllis, Gabrielle Filloux as Angela, Bob McSmith as Creed, Kevin Bruce Harris as Stanley, and Marissa Hecker and Andy Martinez in various other roles.

Ms. Spangler will be taking on the role that spoofs iconic TV boss, Michael Scott, replacing Sarah Mackenzie Baron who originated the role in the New York production. Her first performance will be on Thursday, March 12, 2020. The show's creators, Bob & Tobly McSmith implemented the gender-reversed casting decision in a bid to make the character's off-color humor and misogynistic language palatable in the #MeToo era - and it's worked quite well. The production continues to break Theater Center box office records and fans are posting all over social media - rejoicing that they still have a chance to see their favorite characters skewered in this spoof that Mashable calls a?oea boisterous, rejuvenating escape from reality that'll fill the void in your heart.a??

Broadway Method Academy (BMA), the resident conservatory of Westport Country Playhouse, opens its production of “Disney's Newsies” tonight at the Playhouse. A host of Broadway actors will be featured in the cast alongside the Academy's 40 students.
