Roundabout Theatre Company has announced the full cast of the New York premiere of Stephen Karam's new play Sons of the Prophet, directed by Peter DuBois. The cast will feature Yusef Bulos (Bill), Jonathan Louis Dent (Vin), Santino Fontana (Joseph), Joanna Gleason (Gloria), Lizbeth Mackay (Mrs. McAndrew), Dee Nelson (Dr. Manor), Chris Perfetti (Charles), Charles Socarides (Timothy).
According to DarkHorizons.com, Broadway veteran Benjamin Walker is in talks to star in the upcoming film, Paradise Lost, directed by Alex Proyas. Walker would play the archangel Michael in this movie adaptation of John Milton's classic poem.
Death Takes a Holiday opened on July 21st at the Laura Pels Theatre at the Harold and Miriam Steinberg Center for Theatre, with Kevin Earley in the role of 'Death.' Earley has been performing the role in the Roundabout Theatre Company show since Julian Ovenden's departure on July 19th due to laryngitis.

George Clooney's upcoming film adaptation of the off-Broadway play Farragut North, entitled Ides of March, starring Philip Seymour Hoffman, Paul Giamatti, Ryan Gosling, Marisa Tomei and Evan Rachel Wood will open the Venice Film Festival on August 31. Roundabout Theatre Company opened Death Takes a Holiday last night, July 21, 2011 at the Laura Pels Theatre at the Harold and Miriam Steinberg Center for Theatre. As reported yesterday, leading man Julian Ovenden was unable take part in the opening because of a case of laryngitis. His understdy, Kevin Earley, stepped in to play the role of Prince Sirki/Death. He will remain in the show until Ovenden returns, which is expected to be sometime next week. Broadway Beat was on hand for the opening night and brings you interviews with the cast below!
