Imagination and teamwork will be center stage when a diverse cast of over 2,000 students and teachers representing 50+ schools and educational theatre groups from 15 states and Canada join Broadway creatives in a monumental celebration of the arts at the 2011 Junior Theater Festival happening January 14 - 16, 2011, at the Cobb Galleria Centre in Atlanta, GA, it was announced today by Theater of the Stars president, Nick Manos and Timothy Allen McDonald, founding chairman of iTheatrics. Four-time Tony nominated composer Jeanine Tesori (Thoroughly Modern Millie, Shrek the Musical) will receive the Junior Theater Festival Award for Advancement of Musical Theatre for Young People, while Broadway producer and Disney Theatrical Group president Thomas Schumacher will be the festival's keynote speaker and Grammy award-winning musician, producer and songwriter Bryan-Michael Cox will participate in a Q&A session with all attendees. For the first time, in honor of the Martin Luther King Jr. holiday weekend, the festival will also feature 'Dream Boxes' where students will record 30 second messages with their dreams for the future to be uploaded on the Internet.

Disney On Ice celebrates 25 years of producing live entertainment in Japan this summer. Disney On Ice has entertained over 20 million Japanese guests, since skating into the country in July 1986, with the then branded Walt Disney's World On Ice presents Happy Birthday Donald.

Disney Theatrical Productions (DTP), the division responsible for such smash Broadway hits as THE LION KING, BEAUTY AND THE BEAST and MARY POPPINS, will debut CAMP ROCK: THE MUSICAL, a stage adaptation of the CAMP ROCK 2008 and 2010 Disney Channel Original Movies with songs from both movies and a story based on CAMP ROCK 2: THE FINAL JAM. The show will be available for licensing in November 2010 through Disney's exclusive licensing partner, Music Theatre International (MTI). The theatrical version is a seventy-minute musical that focuses on the storyline of the sequel and features over a dozen hit songs from both popular musical movies.

On Wednesday, January 20, Disney's THE LION KING welcomed its one millionth guest to the Parisian production at the Mogador Theatre. This landmark number of theatre patrons adds to an already celebratory year in which THE LION KING, presented by Stage Entertainment Ltd, Disney's licensed presenting partner in Europe, entered its 3rd season in the French capital, making it the longest-running musical in Parisian history.

The Junior Theatre Fest will pay tribute to the leadership and dedication of Music Theatre International (MTI) Chairman Freddie Gershon by renaming its annual student awards for excellence in theater 'The FreddieG's.' In 1995, he created MTI Education, the first educational division in a major musical theater licensing firm, which over the past 15 years has literally transformed the marketplace for age appropriate performance material for young performers. During this year's festival, taking place January 15-17, composer Stephen Schwartz ('Wicked') will be on hand to celebrate Gershon's accomplishments within musical theatre.

Disney On Ice presents Disney/Pixar's FINDING NEMO took top honors in the category of Best Foreign Show in Argentina at the annual A.C.E. (Asociación de Cronistas del Espectáculo) Awards. The A.C.E. Award is the highest achievement award for theatre in Argentina. This was the first A.C.E. nomination and win for Disney On Ice in the twelve years that the productions have toured the country.
