The Way Off Broadway Dinner Theatre has brought many theatrical premieres to the area including being one of the first theaters in the country to obtain the rights to produce a regional theater production of the musical comedy The Wedding Singer. Other shows, such as Neil Simon's The Goodbye Girl - The Musical, La Cage aux Folles, Thoroughly Modern Millie, Mel Brooks'The Producers, and All Shook Up made their western Maryland regional theater debuts at Way Off Broadway.

Disney Channel has ordered a fourth season of Emmy Award-winning 'Phineas and Ferb,' TV's #1 animated series in Kids 6-11 and Tweens 9-14, and will have new episodes rolling out through 2014. Today, the UN Foundation's Nothing But Nets-a global, grassroots campaign to fight malaria in Africa-announced that Disney's The Lion King and the Nederlander Organization are joining the campaign as its newest partners in the movement to end malaria. The organizations will work together to raise awareness among millions of Broadway fans about how they can help stop malaria, a disease spread by a single mosquito bite that kills a child every 45 seconds in Africa.
