The Tony Awards Administration Committee has announced that they will present the 2017 Tony Honors for Excellence in the Theatre to two of the most successful General Managers in the Broadway community - Nina Lannan and Alan Wasser.

THE 70TH ANNUAL TONY AWARDS, aired live from the Beacon Theatre, last night, June 12 on the CBS Television Network. After the ceremony is when the real fun started though, as many of the evening's celebrity guests headed to DKC/O&M's annual post-show party at the Baccarat Hotel. The new partnership, to begin operations on September 5th, will continue to supply executive producer and general management services to a variety of theatrical productions including Mamma Mia!, Billy Elliot, the upcoming musicals this season of Bonnie and Clyde, Ghost, the revival of EVITA and the play Magic/Bird. Future productions include several new musicals and plays in development; among these Empire, Viva Forever, Mad Hot Ballroom, and Motown, based on the life of Berry Gordy, Jr.

Universal Pictures Stage Productions, Working Title Films and Old Vic Productions celebrated the opening of the 2009 Tony Award-winning Best Musical Billy Elliot the Musical at the Durham Performing Arts Center. The show, currently playing through November 14, 2010, celebrated their opening week with a kickoff party at Pops, a local Durham restaurant, on Sunday evening.
