The hit Broadway musical, Moulin Rouge!, is set to make its West End debut this November!

Need some help predicting the winners? I have attempted to predict about half of these categories (mainly the musical theatre categories since I was not able to see the majority of the plays in the 2019-2020 season), and have provided some rationale for each category. Of course, all the nominees deserve awards, but only one can win in each.

The production will hold technical rehearsals and performances at Chicago's CIBC Theatre (November 2-7, 2021) before embarking on its 2021-22 North American Touring season. Casting will be announced later.

MJ Director and Tony Award-winning Choreographer Christopher Wheeldon is introducing a unique part of his creative team – Rich + Tone Talauega, who will focus particularly on Michael Jackson movement.

The upcoming Broadway-bound musical stage adaptation of The Karate Kid has set its world premiere dates! The musical will premiere at STAGES St. Louis as part of their 2022 season, before bowing on Broadway.

She officially began in the newly created role on July 12th following ten years in higher education, most recently at New York University. Her work will focus on the Broadway production, the forthcoming US National Tour and the show's productions opening internationally.

Casting for American Ballet Theatre’s 2021 Fall season has been announced today by Artistic Director Kevin McKenzie. Principal Dancers for the 2021 Fall season at the Koch Theater include Joo Won Ahn, Aran Bell, Isabella Boylston, Skylar Brandt, Herman Cornejo, Thomas Forster, Gillian Murphy, and more.

Natalie Mendoza will join the Broadway company of Moulin Rouge! The Musical in the role of Satine when the Tony-nominated hit musical resumes performances on Friday, September 24, 2021, at the Al Hirschfeld Theatre. The full cast is now set for the show's return.

In its return to indoor performances in New York City, American Ballet Theatre will present the 2021 Fall season at the David H. Koch Theater, October 20-31, 2021. 

As BroadwayWorld first reported last year,  a musical version of The Karate Kid has been in development, and today, we finally we have a better idea of when to expect the new musical. According to an Equity casting notice, the show will hold work sessions this Fall, with a pre- Broadway out-of-town tryout set for Spring 2022.

The New Group Off Stage has announced additional weeks for the current streaming-on-demand version of Waiting for Godot, by Samuel Beckett, directed by Scott Elliott, with Ethan Hawke, John Leguizamo, Wallace Shawn, Tarik Trotter and Drake Bradshaw.

The Tony Award-nominated musical Moulin Rouge! The Musical will resume performances on Friday, September 24, 2021 at the Al Hirschfeld Theatre. 

MJ, the new musical inspired by the life of Michael Jackson, has announced its new Broadway dates. MJ will begin performances on Broadway on December 6, 2021, with an opening night set for Tuesday, February 1, 2022, at the newly refurbished Neil Simon Theatre.

The New Group Off Stage will launch with Waiting for Godot, by Samuel Beckett, with Ethan Hawke, John Leguizamo, Wallace Shawn, Tarik Trotter and Drake Bradshaw. Waiting for Godot will premiere online Thursday, May 6 at 7PM EST.
