Sitcom star Felicity Kendal has joined the cast in the role of Evangeline Harcourt.

Moulin Rouge! The Musical announced today that the North American tour, previously scheduled to begin Nov 21, 2020 in New Orleans, will run technical rehearsals and premiere at Broadway In Chicago’s James M. Nederlander Theatre with performances beginning February 26, 2022 through April 24, 2022 and an official opening night on March 11, 2022.

Lia Vollack Productions and The Michael Jackson Estate announced today that, due to the Broadway shutdown, dates have been rescheduled for the upcoming World Premiere of MJ the new musical on Broadway.

As those of us who spend significant time in the theatre know, the last six months have been very difficult. With canceled productions, performers out of work, and audiences without the live entertainment that enlightens and enriches their lives, there has been much uncertainty, on top of all the concerns for our own health and well-being. As someone who used to be in the audience reviewing productions almost every week pre-pandemic, I have missed the regular cadence of seeing, and writing about theatre. So, while we wait for things to get back to normal (or a new normal), I wanted to take a moment to spotlight some of the local creative professionals here in Orlando who bring theatrical magic to life on stage. To start, I sat down with Cliff Price, the creative designer behind some of the beautiful and creative scenic designs that audiences have seen in theaters across Central Florida over the last twenty years. Cliff shared with me his creative process, his perspective on the importance of good design and some of his favorite past designs.

Back in 2016 the NBC lot in Los Angeles transformed into 1962 Baltimore for the televised special Hairspray Live!, the fourth of the network's made-for-tv musicals. With Harvey Fierstein adapting the original 2002 book and reprising the character of Edna, it was a joyous success. Now, Universal is making the telecast available to UK audiences for the first time for a mere 48 hours after its premiere on their YouTube channel.

Hairspray Live! will be broadcast online as part of The Shows Must Go On! The show will launch today at 2:00pm EST and be available for 48 hours. The stream will be available on The Shows Must Go On's YouTube channel for viewers in the US, Europe, Australia, Asia, and Africa.
