Luis Salgado and R.Evolucion Latina (RL) are pleased to announce their new partnership with Pregones/Puerto Rican Traveling Theater (PRTT) in celebration of RL's 10 year anniversary. The Spring 2018 Edition of BEYOND WORKSHOP SERIES (BWS), an interdisciplinary (acting, dance, music) workshop and outreach program with professional teaching artists from Broadway, Film and TV, will be taught in conjunction with the historic Raul Julia Training Unit.
Luis Salgado and R.Evoluci n Latina (RL) are determined to continue making a difference in the lives of Latinos in 2018. Starting in January, with a trip to Puerto Rico (PR) bearing 30,000 toys to children, affected by Hurricane Mar a, in conjunction with Hamilton creator Lin-Manuel Miranda, Toys'R'Us, Telemundo, and Hispanic Federation. RL will be distributing 4,000 of those gifts among nine towns and over 20 barrios. Thursday, October 27th- R.Evolución Latina's 4th Annual Dance-A-Thon raised $53,811, doubling last years total after 6 weeks of fundraising. Donors, volunteers, supporters and Broadway performers joined fundraisers on Saturday October 22nd as they completed their commitment to dance for 5 hours at Slate NYC. Online contributions continued through the day as artists, RL campers and community members came together to celebrate music and dance from the past 6 decades starting with the 1950s.
