R.Evolución Latina’s is now accepting applications for the 3rd year of the Doreen Montalvo Scholarship honoring the memory of this inspiring Broadway artist, wife and friend that left us too soon. 

Director and choreographer, Luis Salgado, continues to build bridges of change and empowerment through art in each space and city he visits; this being one of the keys to him as a Latin American artist that led him to plant a flag in the state of Massachusetts with the opening of the first Black Box Theatre that bears his name.

Broadway Records announced today the release of 'Jaime Lozano & The Familia: Songs by an Immigrant'. Heralded the 'next big thing' on Broadway by Lin-Manuel Miranda, Lozano's new album will feature an eclectic collaboration of musical theatre, jazz, Mexican folklore, Tex-Mex, and Latin musicians and performers.

Broadway veterans, R.Evolucion Latina's students from adult and children's program and volunteers joined hands to support the organization and its yearly programming at Harlem School of the Arts. The Dance-A-Thon is not only a fundraiser but also an annual reflection of the organization's mission.

Luis Salgado and R.Evolucion Latina (RL) are pleased to announce their new partnership with Pregones/Puerto Rican Traveling Theater (PRTT) in celebration of RL's 10 year anniversary. The Spring 2018 Edition of BEYOND WORKSHOP SERIES (BWS), an interdisciplinary (acting, dance, music) workshop and outreach program with professional teaching artists from Broadway, Film and TV, will be taught in conjunction with the historic Raul Julia Training Unit.

Luis Salgado and R.Evoluci n Latina (RL) are determined to continue making a difference in the lives of Latinos in 2018. Starting in January, with a trip to Puerto Rico (PR) bearing 30,000 toys to children, affected by Hurricane Mar a, in conjunction with Hamilton creator Lin-Manuel Miranda, Toys'R'Us, Telemundo, and Hispanic Federation. RL will be distributing 4,000 of those gifts among nine towns and over 20 barrios. Subsequently, they will continue their work in Puerto Rico, infiltrating the communities and impacting individuals on the ground.

Luis Salgado has been selected as one of 12 Coors Light Li?deres of legal drinking age as a finalist for his commitment to empower the Latino community. Coors Light believes in rewarding the dedication and tenacious spirit of emerging leaders who selflessly work hard to achieve success by helping others. Luis is one of 12 li?deres who are competing to become the 2017 Coors Light Lider of the Year through an online public voting competition.

R.Evolución Latina (RL) has concluded the 10th year of its Beyond Workshop Series (BWS), Artist training program. Thursday, October 27th- R.Evolución Latina's 4th Annual Dance-A-Thon raised $53,811, doubling last years total after 6 weeks of fundraising. Donors, volunteers, supporters and Broadway performers joined fundraisers on Saturday October 22nd as they completed their commitment to dance for 5 hours at Slate NYC. Online contributions continued through the day as artists, RL campers and community members came together to celebrate music and dance from the past 6 decades starting with the 1950s. 

Directed and choreographed by Luis Salgado, (In The Heights, Rocky and currently in On Your Feet), Zuccotti Park, A Musical About the Human Side of economics opened this past Wednesday, August 17th as part of the 20 year anniversary of The New York International Fringe Festival.
