Parsons Dance comes to Alberta Bair Theater in just three weeks. On Wednesday, February 22 at 7:30 p.m. this contemporary dance company will share a performance you don't want to miss.

The Joyce Theater Foundation has announced the complete calendar of performances from renowned U.S. and international dance companies slated for The Joyce Theater’s Spring 2023 season.

Celebrated conductor David Bernard has joined the artistic staff of Eglevsky Ballet as the company's first music director since the appointment of Maurice Brandon Curry as Executive Artistic Director in 2015. This historic moment in the company's history is an extraordinary development, as Eglevsky Ballet returns to having live music for their performances.

Parsons Dance will thrill audiences with their energized, athletic and joyous style of dance on Sunday, October 2, 2022, at 7:00 pm at the Fred Kavli Theatre.

With New York's Great South Bay as a breathtaking backdrop, an eclectic lineup of world-class dancers joyously led the unforgettable in-person return of Fire Island Dance Festival, the charitable and cultural event of the Fire Island summer. 

Two of ballet’s most preeminent dancers, American Ballet Theatre principal Catherine Hurlin and New York City Ballet soloist Miriam Miller, are joining the luminous lineup of this weekend’s Fire Island Dance Festival, which runs July 15-17, 2022, in Fire Island Pines, NY. The annual event is produced by and benefits Dancers Responding to AIDS, a program of Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS.

VKIBC continues its dedication to creating a positive and encouraging atmosphere, allowing dancers the opportunity to further develop their technique, artistry, and understanding of the art.  This competition is for the dancers - both classical and contemporary.

Artistic Director and Choreographer David Parsons himself introduced the single performance evening at The Segerstrom to a thirsty audience, eager to see the dance company that had been lauded in advance at the beginning of this year's season and of course the much awaited return to live performances and audiences. He gave us a revised rundown of the pieces that were to be performed that night. He is very personable, relatable and captivating as he explains their endeavors, processes and the added hardships Covid placed on the company. The dancers, over the past year-and-a-half were in seven separate 'bubbles' to be able to work on and perfect the choreography. We learned after the performance, in a short Q & A with the dancers and David, that some of the dancers had only been with the company a few months! Their repertoire is quite extensive and precise with many lifts and lots of technique; not an easy feat! And not easy on the feet! They did not disappoint!

Parsons Dance opened on Tuesday night at The Joyce Theater to the delight of a captivated audience. It’s a pleasure to be back seeing live dance performances and the company made the night magical with new works and favorites.

Parsons Dance will return to The Joyce Theater for its annual New York season, from Tuesday, November 30th through Sunday, December 12th. The company's success in remaining strong during the pandemic will be on display as it takes the stage with five premieres that were created during the past year and a half.

Segerstrom Center for the Arts presents Parsons Dance, led by its Co-Founder and Artistic Director, David Parsons, in its Center debut on Saturday, November 20 at 7:30 pm.  Tickets are on sale at scfta.org.

Parsons Dance arrives at The Joyce with four dazzling new works, including two David Parsons premieres: The Road, set to “Peace Train,” “Trouble,” and more iconic songs by Yusuf/Cat Steven; and Balance of Power, a solo created for the Parsons dancer Zoey Anderson, in collaboration with percussionist Giancarlo de Trizio.
