WhatsOnStage.com reports that the musical version of Whitney Houston's film The Bodyguard will begin previews November 6 at West End's Adelphi Theatre. An official opening will likely occur in December. The musical will be directed by Thea Sharrock and will feature Tony Award winning actress Heather Headley as the leading lady. Michael Harrison and David Ian produce.

In SEMINAR, four aspiring young novelists (Lily Rabe, Hamish Linklater, Jerry O'Connell and Hettienne Park) sign up for private writing classes with Leonard (Mr. Rickman), an international literary figure. Under his recklessly brilliant and unorthodox instruction, some thrive and others flounder, alliances are made and broken, sex is used as a weapon and hearts are unmoored. The wordplay is not the only thing that turns vicious as innocence collides with experience in this provocative new comedy.

FLASHDANCE - THE MUSICAL, the stage adaptation of the 1983 hit film that will play Broadway in Fall 2012, will launch the national tour with an additional company on January 1, 2013 at the Heinz Hall in Pittsburgh, the steel town that serves as the show's setting. FLASHDANCE will go on to play over 25 markets in North America. Additional cities and tour casting will be announced in the coming months.
