Unbroken Theatre Announces The World Premiere of Julie Tsang's FIX

Unbroken Theatre in association with The Pleasance and Yellow Earth Theatre today announces their debut production with the world première of Fix written by Julie Tsang, developed as part of Yellow Earth Theatre's Professional Writers Programme. Jen Tan directs the production which opens on Thursday 16 January, with previews from 14 January and runs until 1 February.

After a premiere at Bristol Old Vic, and a tour including Inverness and Hong Kong, Touching the Void is now at the Duke of York's Theatre in the West End. Writer David Greig and director Morris have managed the astonishing feat of translating to stage the story of Joe Simpson, who was stranded in the Peruvian Andes after his climbing partner Simon Yates had to make the terrible decision to cut the rope connecting them. BroadwayWorld spoke with Josh Williams about the physical intensity demanded by the show and how it depicts the men who set their minds on scaling these mountains.

On an isolated space station, far away from human life, three scientists sit and observe Solaris a?" a newly discovered place made solely of water, which orbits around two suns without ever going off course. Originally a place of unsurety, the planet slowly reveals itself to be a place full of life; the beings that inhabit it are known as 'visitors', and slowly begin to drop by to bother the investigators. Resembling the people that were once lost, their presence on the satellite causes lots of turmoil and agony.
