Cheshire's most spectacular live stately home outdoor concerts are set to return in 2026 - with audiences promised even more big names and brilliant music.

Northern Stage has announced that Sam Empey (Associate Director of Education) and Kevin David Thomas (Resident Artist & Director, Cabaret) have been appointed Co-Directors of Education effective June 1, 2025.

Netflix and Shondaland have revealed that Bridgerton is back in production for Season 4. For the new season, the series has added new cast members Katie Leung and Michelle Mao. Isabella Wei, Emma Naomi, and Hugh Sachs will be part of the main cast this season.

 Northern Stage’s 2024/25 Season will kick off with Summer Musical Theater Intensive (SMTI) production Cabaret, based on the play by Jon Van Druten and stories by Christopher Isherwood, with book by Joe Masteroff, music by John Kander, and lyrics by Fred Ebb, with performances from July 30 to August 4, 2024 in the Byrne Theater at the Barrette Center for the Arts.

George Street Playhouse (GSP) has opened their 50th Anniversary season with the stunning world premiere of The Pianist, a poignant theatrical piece brilliantly directed and adapted for the stage by Emily Mann with a beautiful original score by Iris Hond.

George Street Playhouse presents THE PIANIST, a play with music, based on the memoir “The Pianist” by Wladyslaw Szpilman and directed and adapted for the stage by Emily Mann (Broadway: A Streetcar Named Desire, Having Our Say, Anna and the Tropics). THE PIANIST begins previews on September 26, with an official opening night set for September 29. The play runs through October 22.

On Sunday, August 6 at 1pm, Vermont native Shaina Taub will return to the Green Mountain State to lead a masterclass and songwriting workshop with students in Northern Stage's Summer Musical Theater Intensive production of TWELFTH NIGHT, for which she wrote music and lyrics.
