It has been announced that Disney has delayed BLACK WIDOW from its planned May 1 release, due to the coronavirus outbreak

Ask Mayor David Holt to recite some Shakespeare and you won't be disappointed. He grew up with Oklahoma Shakespeare, taking classes and playing small roles in shows when he was a member of the Young Company. 'In our early days when we performed in Hafer Park in Edmond, the Young Company performed a short version of one of Shakespeare's plays before the main show and then took small roles, usually a messenger or citizen, in the mainstage show', said Executive/Artistic Director, Kathryn McGill.

Shakespeare's Globe has announced the full cast for the 2020 Playing Shakespeare with Deutsche Bank production of Macbeth, directed by Cressida Brown. This full-scale, fast-paced production is created especially for young people, and will open on Wednesday 26 February until Wednesday 25 March. This year, the demand was so high that over 18,000 free tickets were allocated to state secondary schools in London and Birmingham in just one day, with thousands more students expected to watch the production during its run.

Westport Country Playhouse will present a Script in Hand playreading of a?oeMiracle on South Division Street,a?? a comedy about family, faith, and adjusting to life's surprises, by Tom Dudzick, on Monday, February 24, at 7 p.m.  Co-curators and co-directors of the Script in Hand Series are Anne Keefe, Playhouse associate artist, and Mark Shanahan, director, actor, and playwright.

Production images have been released for Conor McPherson's (The Weir, Girl from the North Country) new adaptation of Uncle Vanya directed by Ian Rickson (Rosmersholm, Jerusalem, The Seagull) which is now in previews at the Harold Pinter Theatre.

Amazon Studios today announced the first group of series regulars set to star in the new Amazon Original series based on stories from the iconic 'The Lord of the Rings' novels by J.R.R. Tolkien. The Broadway League is pleased to announce that Lauren Reid, Chief Operating Officer, the John Gore Organization, was recently voted Chair Elect of the Board of the Broadway League. Ms. Reid will take over the role of Chair of the Broadway League from Thomas Schumacher, President & Producer of Disney Theatrical Productions, following the completion of Mr. Schumacher's full three-year term at the end of 2020.

Westport Country Playhouse has named director, actor, and playwright Mark Shanahan as co-curator of the 2020 Script in Hand Playreading Series. He will collaborate with Anne Keefe, Playhouse associate artist and current curator of the Series. The Playhouse's Script in Hand Series offers readings of dramas and comedies by professional actors using their skills to catapult the audience's imagination without benefit of scenery or costumes.
