Denis Olsen, prolific artist on movies, television, theater and commercials, is set to receive the Art Directors Guild (ADG, IATSE Local 800) Scenic, Title and Graphic Artists Lifetime Achievement Award at the 24th Annual 'Excellence in Production Design' Awards on Saturday, February 1, 2020, returning this year to the InterContinental Los Angeles Downtown in the Wilshire Grand Ballroom. This is the second of four Lifetime Achievement Awards to be announced by the Art Directors Guild.

Years ago, when the popularity of cell phones started exploding, theaters in other countries started experimenting with the idea of using signal jammers to prevent cell phone use in the theater. It never took off. And more and more people started using cell phones in the theater. There is the photo before, the texting during, the random cell phone ring and sometimes the recording of the performance. Most of it is not supposed to occur. We've all heard stories about performers stopping the show until phones are put away. But some wonder what can be done to stop it or even if it should be stopped.

Arcola Theatre and the Royal Shakespeare Company today announce the full cast for the London première of Pippa Hill and Sophie Ivatts' adaptation of #WeAreArrested by Can Dündar, a vital story about the cost of reporting the truth in the age of fake news. Ivatts directs Jamie Cameron (Son), Peter Hamilton Dyer (Can) and Indra Ové (Wife). The production opens on 18 November, with previews from 13 November and runs until 7 December.

As a featured soloist she has worked alongside stars such as Bob Hope, Frank Sinatra, George Burns, Regis Philbin, Jackie Gleason, Tennessee Ernie Ford, Dionne Warwick, Kenny Rogers, The Inkspots, Patrick Swayze, Louis Prima, and Joan Rivers, just to name a few! She studied at the Civic Light Opera, and worked alongside Gwen Verdon and Ray Walston in 'Damn Yankees', portrayed Ellie in 'Showboat' with Mickey Rooney and Ado Annie in 'Oklahoma' with John Davidson. Peggy was also the opening act for Magician David Copperfield as well as being featured at Radio City Music Hall (backed by a 65-piece orchestra).
