I hold each theatre to its own sliding scale of standards. As far as fare goes in Dallas/Ft. Worth, Broadway tours should be in the top echelon. However, on opening night December 18th at the AT&T Performing Arts Center in the auspicious Winspear Opera House, the touring troupe of Chicago failed to find its legs.

Alberta Bair Theater's Broadway Series presented by U.S. Bank kicks off with the razzle-dazzle smash hit CHICAGO on Saturday, November 10 at 7:30 p.m.  and a matinee performance on Sunday November 11 at 2 p.m.

The Tony Award-winning, record-breaking hit musical Chicago will welcome YouTube sensation and Broadway star Todrick Hall in the role of "Billy Flynn" for one week only, October 16-21 at Detroit's Fisher Theatre.

Chicago will appear at Detroit's Fisher Theatre, October 16-21, 2018. Tickets start at $39 and go on sale Sunday, August 5. Broadway is back in the park! Broadway in Bryant Park has returned for the 2018 season, bringing the best of Broadway together for free performances for six consecutive weeks from through Thursday, August 16. The Bryant Park stage is located at 6th Avenue between 40th and 42nd Streets. Lawn seating is first-come, first-serve.

Alberta Bair Theater has added four additional shows since the season preview for its stakeholders on May 24:  for fans of 60's rock: Felix Cavaliere & Gene Cornish's RASCALS with special guest Carmine Appice on drums on Friday, September 7 at 7:30; for fans of 80's rock and Broadway musicals: ROCK OF AGES on Monday, November 19 at 7:30;  for a fun ladies night out during the holidays: 'Twas a Girls Night Before Christmas on Friday, December 14 at 7:30;  and for family entertainment at its best the multi Tony awarded THE SOUND OF MUSIC on Monday, April 8 and Tuesday, April 9, both at 7:30.

Monday night's performance of Chicago the Musical began with a promise of murder, greed, corruption, violence, exploitation, adultery, and a little treachery, a promise it delivered upon in spades. The musical's national tour stopped at Thalia Mara Hall in Jackson, Mississippi as a part of the Broadway in Jackson series presented by Trustmark. The tour itself is presented by Barry & Fran Weissler.
