CBS announced today that it has renewed six more drama series and two news programs for the 2019-2020 broadcast season. SEAL TEAM, S.W.A.T., MADAM SECRETARY, BULL, HAWAII FIVE-0 and MACGYVER will return to the CBS lineup next season, along with longstanding primetime news shows 60 MINUTES and 48 HOURS. With these pickups, CBS has now renewed 18 series for next year.
Judd Lormand has been upped to series regular on SEAL TEAM, the Network's #1 new drama in viewers last season. Lormand portrays Lieutenant Commander Eric Blackburn, the SEAL Team troop commander who coordinates operations whenever Bravo team is on mission and serves as the team's leader and confidant, both on and off the battlefield. CBS announced today that the Network's top two freshman dramas, SEAL TEAM and S.W.A.T., are being renewed for the 2018-2019 broadcast season. The pickups follow the previous renewal of the top new series of the season, YOUNG SHELDON. Based on current Nielsen ratings, YOUNG SHELDON, SEAL TEAM and S.W.A.T. comprise three of the top five most-watched new shows.
