A slate of starry special guests has been added to Tony Award winner BD Wong and videographer Richert Schnorr's imaginative, video-driven interpretation of the theatrical song cycle Songs from an Unmade Bed. The collection of immersive music videos will stream at 8 pm Eastern on Monday, August 10, 2020, as a benefit for BC/EFA.

Last month, composer and lyricist team Will Reynolds and Eric Price launched This MT Space, an online education platform, with two Zoom-based classes. 'Filling the Page' taught musical theatre writing and 'Filling the Gaps' was focused on career-building and featured conversations with Patti Murin, Aisha Jackson, Jeremy Jordan and more.

BroadwayWorld was saddened to report that Broadway veteran Merwin Foard recently passed away at 59 years old. Born September 16, 1960 in Mecklenburg County, North Carolina, Foard was last seen on Broadway in Aladdin as a standby for Jafar/Sultan.

This spring, SoHo Playhouse Inc. (Darren Lee Cole producing artistic director) and F.C.C. (Flow, Create and Connect) will present Wild Dogs Under My Skirt, the award-winning play by Samoan poet Tusiata Avia and directed by Anapela Polata'ivao. Wild Dogs Under My Skirt plays a limited six-week engagement April 16 - May 24 at SoHo Playhouse (15 Vandam Street, NYC). The official opening is Thursday, April 30 at 7:30PM. The Stage Directors and Choreographers Foundation (SDCF), the not-for-profit foundation affiliated with Stage Directors and Choreographers Society, presented the third annual SDCF Awards including the Gordon Davidson Award, Zelda Fichandler Award, Joe A. Callaway Awards, and Breakout Award. The event took place on Tuesday, November 12, 2019 at the Laurie Beechman Theatre.

Get a glimpse into the legendary world of a?oeThe Monkey King, A Modern Musicala??, which had a developmental workshop presented by National Asian Artists Project (NAAP). The workshop took place on Thursday, Oct 3, 2019 at Actors Temple Theatre in NYC. A cast of 9 actors representative of the asian theatre community and members of NAAP, under the direction of Steven Eng, brought an explosive new musical to life at the Actors Temple Theater (339 W 47th St, New York, NY) on Oct 3.

The 5th Avenue Theatre, Abingdon Theatre Company and Ann Ramsay-Jenkins presented a 29 Hour industry reading of Corner of Bitter and Sweet featuring a book by Lainie Sakakura, music & lyrics by Paul Fujimoto on October 23 at Theatre 71 in New York. SoHo Playhouse presents the American Premiere of Henry Naylor's Games, directed by Darren Lee Cole. It will begin performances on October 10 and open on October 20  running through November 24, 2019, at the Historic SoHo Playhouse (15 Vandam Street).
