Popular musical director Darnell White is making his Joe's Pub debut in a new solo show filled with his own stories and all original music, created at his own hand.

See life through his eyes: Joy! Directly from Gay Twitter’s newly deemed cult classic DIANA The Musical, Anthony Murphy is set to bless the stage with his debut solo cabaret. A Joyful Noise! will premier at The Green Room 42 one night only on March 18th at 9:30, and honey, do we have some magic to do. The show is music directed by MAC award nominee, Darnell White, complete with a six piece jazz band and produced by Jordan Silver and Chas Conacher. 

The Manhattan Association of Cabarets has announced the 2022 MAC Award nominees. The nominees were determined by votes cast by the active MAC membership, except for the song and recording categories, which were determined by special committees.

The February 22nd episode of the live Variety Show THE LINEUP WITH Susie Mosher played last week, as the month winds up for the program. THE MELODY LINGERS ON: A GALA TRIBUTE TO THE SONGS OF IRVING BERLIN was a gathering of some of the biggest names in the cabaret world. There’s something a little odd about celebrating the intimate art of cabaret in a Broadway-sized theatre like Rose Hall, but to be honest it was one of the few venues sizable enough to hold all the cabaret fans who came to see this fine collection of talented artists. There were performances from Sandy Stewart, Jeff Harner, Andrea Marcovicci, Eric Yves Garcia, Karen Oberlin, David LaMarr, Natalie Douglas, Stacy Sullivan & Todd Murray, Karen Akers, Steve Ross, Amra-Faye Wright, Klea Blackhurst, Billy Stritch, Aisha de Haas, Christine Andreas, Sidney Myer, Karen Mason, Nicolas King, Mark Nadler, and the Moipai Triplets. In addition to these wonderful performers, we were treated to some of NYC’s best musicians including Ray Marchicka, Steve Doyle, Jon Weber, Bill Charlap, Darnell White, Alex Rybeck, Mark Hummel, Michael Rice, and Tracy Stark.

The versatile, much loved performer, producer and director, Tanya Moberly, returns to the stage at Don’t Tell Mama with her continuing tribute to New York songwriters, aptly titled: I Love NY Songwriters, Part II.

If you want a high-energy show, Smokey Joe's Café is definitely for you. The musical revue, on Broadway from 1995-2000, highlights the music of songwriting team Jerry Leiber and Mike Stoller. The spectacle features their hit songs done back to back including 'Love Potion Number 9', 'Yakity Yak', 'Stand By Me' and 'Jailhouse Rock'. Believe me when I say that you will be dancing in your seat at some point.
