Nominations for the 35th Annual Lucille Lortel Awards for Outstanding Achievement Off-Broadway were announced today by theatre veterans Jeremy Jordan and Ashley Spencer. The Awards will be presented during a special online event on Sunday, May 3, broadcast on the official website - www.LortelAwards.org - beginning at 7:00pm ET. A virtual 'host' and presenters will be announced at a later date. As always, the Lortel Awards will be a benefit for The Actors Fund and fans are encouraged to make donations at actorsfund.org/Lortel. The Lucille Lortel Awards are produced by the Off-Broadway League and the Lucille Lortel Theatre Foundation. Additional support is provided by TDF.

GHOSTLIGHT RECORDS has announced that Soft Power - Original Cast Recording will be available on digital and streaming formats on Friday, April 17.

Broadway came out to celebrate in LA last weekend as the Grammy Awards brought some of New York City's biggest talents to the west coast. Producer Jordan Roth and Rick Miramontez hosted their First Annual Musical Theater Grammy Award Party at Tramp Stamp Granny's- a bar owned by Broadway veteran Darren Criss.

Hollywood came to the Prairie this week as celebs caught up at the Tony Award winning Broadway revival of “Rodgers & Hammerstein's Oklahoma!” at the Circle In the Square.  The hit musical will end its Broadway run as scheduled on Sunday, January 19th.

ABC today announced the explosive series finale of “How to Get Away with Murder” will air THURSDAY, MAY 14 (10:01-11:00 p.m. EDT). The critically acclaimed series, which will return for its six-episode killer farewell event on THURSDAY, APRIL 2, is currently in its sixth and final season. 

Ghostlist Records has announced it will record the new musical Soft Power, the New York premiere production from The Public Theater (Artistic Director, Oskar Eustis; Executive Director, Patrick Willingham), for an original cast album to be released Spring 2020. Soft Power features play and lyrics by Tony Award winner David Henry Hwang and music and additional lyrics by Tony Award winner Jeanine Tesori, with choreography by Tony nominee Sam Pinkleton. A co-commission and co-production with Center Theatre Group, Tony nominee Leigh Silverman directed this groundbreaking new musical-within-a-play.

Conrad Ricamora who plays Oliver in the ABC Series “How To Get Away With Murder” has been jetting back and forth across the country filming the final season of the show and also starring in the new musical “Soft Power” written by David Henry Hwang and Jeanine Tesori at the Public Theatre in NY.  Over the weekend, an old friend, George Takei stopped by to see the show and congratulate him backstage along with Playwright David Henry Hwang and the cast.

Meanwhile, the students compete for a large cash bonus during the final exam where they must come up with the best defense for a conspiracy-to-murder charge on an all-new episode of “How to Get Away with Murder,” THURSDAY, NOV. 14 (10:01-11:00 p.m. EST), on ABC. Episodes can also be viewed the next day on ABC.com, the ABC app and Hulu.

The Paley Center for Media today announced a new addition to its PaleyLive LA fall season: An Evening with How to Get Away with Murder. This special celebration of the final season of the acclaimed and wildly popular series will take place on November 19 at 7:00 pm at the Paley Center's Beverly Hills location. How To Get Away with Murder airs Thursdays (10:00-11:00 p.m. EST), on ABC.
