Uptown Music Theater of Highland Park has announced the cast for its fourth annual cabaret, Resilience. This special performance of Broadway songs celebrates the strength, character, and perseverance of the Highland Park community.

Theo Ubique Cabaret Theatre is set to celebrate 25 years of moving, intimate, thought-provoking musical theater with the Lights Up on 25 gala on Saturday, September 17, 2022. The gala celebration will take place at their theatrical home on Howard Street in Evanston beginning at 6:30pm.

Williams Street Repertory, McHenry County's only professional theater company, is excited to bring the kooky, upside-down world of a?oeThe Addams Familya?? to Raue Center For The Arts this fall! This new musical comedy opens on September 27, 2019, and runs select dates through October 20, 2019. 

Dames at Sea opened at Theatre at the Center in Munster on Sunday night, May 5. Director and Artistic Director Linda Fortunato cast Kelly Felthous as Ruby, Todd Aulwurm as Dick, Colette Todd as Mona Kent, Sierra Schnack as Joan, Sam Shankman as Lucky, and Steven Strafford as Hennesey and The Captain in the spring musical production.  Dames at Sea and continues through June 2.

2017 BroadwayWorld Chicago Awards Finalists Announced!

BoHo Theatre is excited to announce a one-night only cabaret benefit on Tuesday, July 25, at Stage 773. This night of songs and stories will explore the idea of "The Odyssey Years," that period in life between leaving home or school and settling down into a permanent life, a time when young people are experimenting and searching for the person who they will eventually become.

Today, The Hawk Chicago announced nominations for the inaugural Chicago Theatre Awards, a contest in which all winners are chosen entirely by audience vote. The first round, which invited write-in submissions, ended June 23rd. The official nominees were decided by almost 1,600 voters.

"At the Table", Michael Perlman's drama of scintillating conversation between diverse friends during a weekend in the country, took home the most honors on Monday, June 5, during the 44th Annual Non-Equity Jeff Awards ceremony recognizing excellence in non-union Chicago theatre. 

The Jeff Awards announced, via a special video presentation, a total of 127 nominations in 26 categories for the 44th Annual Non-Equity Jeff Awards for productions that opened between April 1, 2016, and March 31, 2017.  Hosting the video presentation were Alexis Roston and Lillian Castillo, who will be this year's Mistresses of Ceremonies at the Awards event on June 5 at The Athenaeum.
