The show stars Janet Dacal as the vulnerable cafe owner Dina and Sasson Gabay as Tewfiq, the orchestra leader who has been traumatized by a past tragedy.

Zions Bank Broadway at the Eccles announced today that the individual tickets for the tour of The Band's Visit, featuring music and lyrics by Tony and Drama Desk Award-winner David Yazbek, went  on sale Friday, November 12 at 10am.  

A visiting Egyptian band loses their way and a small town is forever changed. It seems that THE BAND'S VISIT is the TONY Award winning musical that no one has heard of. But that changed last night when the luminous National tour opened at Shea's Buffalo Theatre. It was evident that most audience members had no idea what they were in for when the lights dimmed and the hour and four five minute, intermissionless production cast it's spell.

I’m happy to admit that while I am indeed euphoric, I remain clear-eyed in the knowledge that this particular cultural offering is unique in its storytelling and in the characters who will live for years to come until the very last person who remembers experiencing the exhilaration of the return of live Broadway theater to Nashville speaks their names for the last time.

The North American tour of the 10-time Tony Award-winning Best Musical THE BAND'S VISIT, featuring music and lyrics by Tony and Drama Desk Award®-winner David Yazbek, has hit the road, currently playing at Nashville's TPAC Andrew Jackson Hall. Upcoming stops include Pittsburgh, Buffalo, Worcester, Hartford, and Los Angeles.

THE BAND’S VISIT is an incredibly gentle, but very human musical about a band of Egyptian musicians who end up stranded in a small Israeli town. It’s a show about unlikely connections as we see the Arab musicians bond with those in the small town.

DPAC has announced that beginning October 4th at 9:00 AM, a digital rush lottery will take place for THE BAND'S VISIT.  The winner of 10 Tony awards including Best Musical will premiere at DPAC October 5 – 10, as part of Truist Broadway at DPAC.

A New York City Twisted Holiday Tradition is now in its eleventh year!

Full casting has just been announced for the 29-hour reading of the upcoming new musical THE IMAGINARY, created by Joshua Betancourt and Trent Jeffords. Previously announced, this reading will be directed by Broadway's Jeff Whiting and music directed by Andy Collopy. Rehearsals are in full swing next month for this anticipated NYC presentation.
