54 BELOW, Broadway’s Supper Club, will again present 54 Celebrates Hanukkah: A Festival Of Writers on December 19th 2021, at 7:00pm and 9:30pm. 

Westport Country Playhouse will present a Script in Hand playreading of the comedy, “Bad Jews,” on Monday, December 12, at 7 p.m., directed by Jen Waldman and written by Joshua Harmon. Most recently, Harmon co-wrote with Sarah Silverman the Off-Broadway hit musical, “The Bedwetter.”

What did our critic think of The Band's Visit in Rochester? The first words in 'The Band's Visit' are 'Once not long ago a group of musicians came to Israel from Egypt. You probably didn't hear about it. It wasn't very important.' These words don't exactly tee-up the audience for a musical full of sparkly costumes and dazzling kick lines, which is good because that's not at all what 'The Band's Visit' comes to deliver. What this show offers is much simpler and more fleeting. It's a story about love, music, and connection.

The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts has announced that THE BAND’S VISIT, featuring music and lyrics by Tony® and Drama Desk Award®-winner David Yazbek, will be returning to Washington, D.C. from July 5–17, 2022.

Dear Readers, I want to tell you a story about a show. You probably never heard of it because it’s not very important. Wait! No, it is important, and you should have heard of it. At least since the show in question is the winner of 11 Tony Awards including Best Musical, “The Band’s Visit”, currently playing at the Paramount Theatre. STEAM! is a contemporary Western about the conductor of a tourist steam train who deserts his boyfriend for a wild night with a real life outlaw.

Broadway in Portland has announced that THE BAND’S VISIT, featuring music and lyrics by Tony Award® and Drama Desk Award-winner David Yazbek, will be coming to Keller Auditorium in Portland from January 4 – 9, 2022.

Based on a 2007 movie and a premise that you wish actually happened (even though it didn’t), the musical, directed by David Cromer, is a gentle ode to open minds, tolerance, wrong turns and – sure – faith.
