Harry Townsend's Last Stand a new play written by George Eastman (The Snow Job; Bitter Exchange) and directed by Karen Carpenter will premiere at New York City Center Stage II.

Works & Process, the performing arts series at the Guggenheim, presents Brian Brooks Moving Company: Immersive Technology, on Sunday, November 17 at 7:30pm.

Lynne Meadow (Artistic Director) and Barry Grove (Executive Producer) have announced casting for the world premiere of The Perplexed, written by Richard Greenberg (Take Me Out, The Assembled Parties) and directed by MTC's award-winning Artistic Director Lynne Meadow (The Cake, The Assembled Parties, The Tale of the Allergist's Wife).

New York City Center is getting ready for its Gala Presentation of Evita, running November 13 - 24. Directed by Sammi Cannold, Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice's rock-opera musical follows the controversial ascent of Argentina's renowned first lady. The production will star two actors in the title role. Maia Reficco, award-winning Argentine actor and recording artist, will play Eva age 15 - 20, and Solea Pfeiffer (Almost Famous, Hamilton), last at City Center in Songs for a New World, will play Eva age 20 - 33. The cast will also feature Jason Gotay as Che, Enrique Acevedo as Perón and Philip Hernandez as Magaldi.

'BRIDESMAIDS': A Dance Narrative finished it's sold out run this August at Dixon Place NYC. In February 2020, 'Bridesmaids' will return to a larger stage, iconic Peter Jay Sharp Theater at Symphony Space, February 11 as 'Bridesmaids: A Concert Edition'.

The Market Center Trash Bash has been rescheduled for Sunday, November 10. The neighborhood cleanup, organized and spearheaded by Everyman Theatre in partnership with Market Center Merchants Association, Catholic Relief Services, City Center Residents Association, Faidley's Seafood, Lexington Market, and Seawall, was postponed due to inclement weather. Broadway star Kelli O'Hara will return to London to play her debut solo concert engagement at Cadogan Hall on Sunday 10 November. The Tony Award-winning and Emmy and Grammy-nominated actress returns to the capital following her star turn in the smash-hit run of The King and I at The London Palladium

Following an initial reading presentation in March 2018, Luna and the Gold River Docks, a musical by Eric Dietz inspired by the documentary The Whale by Michael Parfit and Suzanne Chisholm, will present two developmental reading presentations on Tuesday, November 5 at 11:30am and Wednesday, November 6 at 11am, by invitation only.

Christmas at Birdland featuring Billy Stritch, Jim Caruso and Klea Blackhurst made a strong debut on the Billboard Jazz chart. The project currently claims the #7 spot on the chart, after having reached the #2 spot on the iTunes Jazz chart on its first weekend out.

This week we're spotlighting Nadia DiGiallonardo is currently the music director for the Broadway production of Waitress at the Brooks Atkinson Theater, where she can be found playing and conducting Sara Bareilles' score most nights. She is also the music supervisor for the national tour and international companies of Waitress.

According to the New York Times, Lear deBessonet, current Resident Director of City Center Encores! will officially succeed Jack Viertel as the new artistic director in 2021.  DeBessonet joined the Encores! team in January 2019 following Viertel's announcement of his retirement in July.
